Chapter 45: The Embarrassed Qin Shuya

Ye Buyu explained smilingly to Qin Shuya.

“Mom, this is my friend, Gao Lang. You should know him!”

“Mom?” Gao Lang exclaimed mockingly next to her. He then looked at Qin Shuya with a smile that wasn’t a smile. “Madam Qin, you said that Ye Buyu is the daughter of your distant relative. You didn’t say that she was your daughter!”

Ye Buyu also pretended to be surprised.

“Mom, you actually said that I am the daughter of your distant relative? Is that how you introduced me to Gao Lang?”

Gao Lang responded with a smile, “That wasn’t the only thing that your mom said. She also said that you had started dating recently. She said that the guy had no skills, and rests on his own laurels. She said that he is only an ugly duckling who had his eyes on you. Your mom claimed that he managed to trick you, so she needed my help to get you out of that sea of sorrow.”

Ye Buyu gave Qin Shuya a thumbs up.

“That is really great, mom. You can really spew anything for Xu Ran! You can be a screenwriter already with your skill in making stories.”

Gao Lang said to Qin Shuya, “Madam Qin, you seem to have said that Ye Buyu was in hell. That was why I wanted to save her. But you didn’t tell me that Ye Buyu’s boyfriend is Lu Zhi! So Lu Zhi is a guy who has no skills, and rests on his own laurels to you?”

Qin Shuya found out that words failed her as she was bombarded by Ye Buyu and Gao Lang.

She had never dreamed that she would be questioned like this by two juniors.

How did they expect her to explain it?

She could only sit there awkwardly and say to Ye Buyu, “Oh, Buyu, it is all my fault. Your mom didn’t have a choice!”

Ye Buyu shrugged at her.

That was why she called Gao Lang along when she knew that Qin Shuya asked her out.

Going by his status, if he married a divorcee who had already bore someone else’s child, he would surely be attacked by some people

That was why everyone thought that Qin Shuya had no previous marriage.

Embarrassment flashed over Qin Shuya’s face.

“This…”

Gao Lang said smilingly, “Don’t worry, Madam Qin. I’m not particularly interested in gossip. Of course, I am not an idiot either. I would be unhappy if someone used me to bring a person down. So, Madam Qin, do remember that there is no next time.”

Gao Lang nodded at Qin Shuya. His face was all smiles.

Qin Shuya completely tripped on herself this time. She could only nod her head.

Gao Lang then stood up and said to Ye Buyu, “Lu Zhi asked me to come here and take you for lunch. Let’s go!”

Ye Buyu stood up happily. She waved at Qin Shuya smilingly.

“Goodbye, mom!”

Qin Shuya could only watch as they left.

She smashed the teacup on the table furiously when both of their figures were gone.

“Ye! Bu! Yu!”
