Chapter 46: The Male Guests were all Fans of the Novel
Zhuo Shaoyuan, who was hugging the couch pillow, blushed at the mention of his name. The corners of his lips turned upward uncontrollably.
“What’s the matter with you, Shaoyuan? Why’re you blushing?” Xu Liangxuan asked, laughing.
“To the princess behind the screen, may I ask what’s your impression on Zhuo Shaoyuan?” Wu Lei questioned her.
“I don’t know him well because we weren’t cast to play alongside each other…” The male guests burst into laughter before she could finish her sentence, whereas Zhuo Shaoyuan could only force a bitter smile.
“However, I remember him as tall and handsome, and also a really kind-hearted guy.”
The group of male guests started heckling as soon as she finished speaking. On the other hand, that comment had Zhuo Shaoyuan blushing up to his ears.
“Princess, what makes you say he’s a kind-hearted guy?” asked Wu Lei.
“Once, an actor from the production crew misplaced something. He helped to look for it for a really long time.”
Her confession had the other three male guests rise to their feet and looked at each other in amused curiosity. “Is Qing Sha really here?”
“Gosh, no way! Qing Sha!” Even Li Yuebin could not resist, crying out in surprise.
Wu Lei revealed a mysterious smile at their overexcitement. Then, he simply said, “Without further ado, let’s see if today’s princess is indeed who you had in mind.”
A few moments later, a young girl walked out of the door. Her straight, silky long hair fell just below her waist; a pair of peach blossom eyes glistened with moisture. Her dense eyelashes looked like two cattail leaf fans; the pretty nose bridge made her profile look astonishingly beautiful; her full lips red like cinnabar. She clearly did not have a trace of makeup on, but there was completely nothing that one could pick at her natural appearance. Her skin tone, which was as fair as fresh milk, could definitely fool one into thinking that she had at least dabbed on a layer of foundation powder.
Her loose-fitting white blouse matched with a high waisted, irregular denim skirt. She presented herself as an attractive, youthful fashionista.
Her appearance threw all four of the male guests into chaos. They rushed toward her and tried to shake her hands before Wu Lei could stop them. Yang Ziming even extended his hands for an embrace but An Wen only responded with a sweet smile. He was then immediately pulled aside by Zhuo Shaoyuan.
“Chill out! You guys will intimidate the princess!” Wu Lei rushed to the front of An Wen and instructed.
All four of the male guests were still running high on adrenaline. Wu Lei invited An Wen to the couch and the rest of the guys also followed suit.
“My Desired Prince welcomes An Wen to be today’s guest appearance,” said Wu Lei, followed by the male guests’ over-enthusiastic round of applause.
“An Wen, I’m not sure if you know this, but all four of these guys are your fans,” announced the host.
She was slightly taken aback.
“It’s because of Qing Sha, as they’re also her fans. I believe every man in China has read the book Calming the Cosmos.”
Wu Lei’s claim was agreed upon by the male guests.
“My social media was flooded with your pictures when the official announcement published that you were going to play the role of Qing Sha.”
Those four male guests blushed shyly. Later, Li Yuebin confessed, “I’ve never imagined a person in real life would resemble Qing Sha so much. After meeting you in person today, I can say that you look even better than in pictures.”
Xu Liangxuan also commented, “Just like they described in the book, you have jade-like skin and incomparable elegance.”
An Wen felt a little shy at the compliments that came flooding her way. She could only smile and express her gratitude.
“There’s no need for you to thank us, we’re only speaking the truth!” Zhuo Shaoyuan sort of shouted at her.
Once again, he had everyone dissolved into laughter.
“An Wen, have you been in a relationship before?” Wu Lei suddenly asked without warning.
“No,” she replied while shaking her head.
“Alright, the next segment of the show will be confession time. The four of them will each express their admiration to you in their respective ways, then you’d have to pick the one man you fancy the most as your desired prince,” explained the host.
The first who volunteered was Xu Liangxuan. He came forward and held An Wen’s hand.
