At the same time, in the hall of a cavernous abode.
A thin elderly man in an ochre robe sat on the main seat while gently stirring a cup of tea in his hands. Before him, a middle-aged man with small eyes stood with his hands by his side and his expression respectful.
“Things should be finished over on Lu Ya’s side,” the thin elderly man did not lift up his head and said slowly.
“There won’t be any problems at all with Elder Lu taking the field. Only Patriarch can invite Elder Lu,” the middle-aged man said respectfully.
“The younger generation in the clan are all good-for-nothings, only Hao’er was to my liking. It’s such a pity… Humph, even if that Han brat dies ten thousand deaths, it will not resolve the anger in my heart.” The thin elderly man slapped down his tea bowl and shouted angrily.
“Patriarch, please calm down. No matter what, that Yu Menghan is also an unexpected surprise. There’s hope for Patriarch’s great achievement,” said the middle-aged man quickly when he saw that the expression of the elderly man was not looking good.
“Well, she is also accountable for Hao’er’s death. I’ll let her off for now, because of her spiritual body,” the thin elderly man said, the anger on his face slightly reduced.
As soon as he closed his mouth, his expression changed and he turned his head to look at the entrance of the cavernous abode.
A moment later, a young maid appeared at the entrance and bowed.
“Elder Qi, Elder Mo is requesting to see you!”
Before the thin elderly man could respond, an ambiguous male voice sounded from outside.
“Elder Qi Xuan must be in really good spirits, as even at this grave moment he is able to enjoy his tea at ease.” A middle-aged man in a black robe and a crown on his head appeared, his expression indifferent.
The thin elderly man, Qi Xuan, raised his eyebrows slightly and after motioning for the maid to leave with his eyes, he did not stand up but asked, “Mo Chen, I’ve never interfered with you people from the law enforcement hall. What are you doing here?”
“Not long ago, Elder Lu Ya’s spirit tablet suddenly broke. I wonder if there is anything Elder Qi wants to explain?” Mo Chen did not answer the elderly man’s question, but questioned him rudely.
“What did you say?” Qi Xuan suddenly leapt up from the main seat and shouted with a livid face.
“According to the person who was with Elder Lu, he was entrusted by you to kill a group of people, which caused him to die for no reason. Elder Qi, who did you ask him to kill?” Mo Chen asked coldly.
“This is impossible! How can two Nascent Soul cultivators be Lu Ya’s match!?” Qi Xuan retorted in disbelief.
“Hehe, Elder Qi, don’t take me for a fool, you know exactly what kind of strength is needed to be able to kill a cultivator at the early-stage of Deity Transformation. I only hope that Elder Qi doesn’t attract tough enemies to our sect because of your personal grudge. No matter what, Elder Qi, please follow me to the law enforcement hall first.” Mo Chen gave a cold laugh.
A few days later, the flying boat where Han Li and the others were in, finally left Huanglan Ancient Desert.
Along the way, except for a few waves of attacks by the Baneful Yin Ants, which were solved by Han Li with the help of Devil Light, there were no further pursuers from the Sky Ghost Sect.
With the deaths of the Deity Transformation cultivators as an example, Gu Yunyue did not seem surprised by Han Li being able to drive back the Baneful Yin Ants.
After days of running and turbulence, Yu Menghan and Liu Le’er were both tired. They snuggled up to each other and leaned on the side of the boat, falling into a deep sleep.
Han Li was sitting at the end of the boat with his legs crossed, his eyebrows raised slightly and his expression a little strange. In front of him were seven to eight blue jade bottles and white porcelain bottles, all of which were empty.
“Daoist Han, how is it?” Devil Light’s voice sounded in Han Li’s mind.
“Although most of these pills came from the cultivator at the Deity Transformation stage, some of them are of higher level, but none of them are useful.” Han Li sighed softly.
Although he used the strength of his body and the power of the five mountains in the previous battle to crush and kill his enemies, it did not use up much of his magic. However, if there was no increase of magic in his body, then his long term plans would only be that much harder to complete.
“What about the supreme-grade spirit stone?”
“It’s the same. It’s impossible to absorb.” Han Li gave a wry smile, opening up his palm and revealed a spirit stone that had become gray and lusterless.
“It seems like only some special elixirs work,” Devil Light said.
“Perhaps. Before that, only the Rhyhope pill and Qi Minghao’s unknown golden elixir worked. Maybe we’ll know more when the Cold Fire Sect gives me another Rhyhope pill and after I study it,” said Han Li as he touched the small bottle under his clothes in front of his chest.
Half a month later, high up in the air of the overlapping mountain range, a strange spiritual boat in the shape of a crescent appeared.
There was a man and three women standing on the boat. They were Han Li, Gu Yunyue and the rest.
“Daoist Han, Menghan, Le’er, this Spiritual Flame Mountain is the door to our Cold Fire Sect.” Gu Yunyue had a smile on her face as her warm gaze swept over the mountains below.
“The spirit pulse is stable and the spiritual energy dense. It’s really a rare paradise.” Han Li’s eyes were bright and he nodded.
Yu Menghan was happy at first, but after looking around, she looked at Gu Yunyue with a puzzled expression.
With her hands on the edge of the boat, the little fox girl leaned out and looked around, but she could only see the lush mountains and trees, and not even half of the gate and building of the sect.
She could not help but ask, “Brother, I also think that this place has a strong spiritual energy, but I don’t see any gate?”
“All the sects are covered by a protection formation. We are now outside the array formation, it’s just like standing outside a high wall, so we can’t see what’s inside the wall,” Han Li said with a smile.
When Liu Le’er and Yu Menghan heard this they nodded their heads, not fully understanding it.
“Daoist Han, just a moment. Please let me report in first,” Gu Yunyue said to Han Li.
She then flicked her wrist and in the palm of her hand appeared a palm-sized golden token with a flame pattern.
With a flash of light on the token, the flame pattern suddenly shook, as if it was truly alive.
A ray of light flew out of the token and rushed down into the mountains.
A moment later, there was a ripple in the air under the spirit boat, and a layer of arc-shaped golden light appeared.
Looking up, there was the Spiritual Flame Mountain that stretched for hundreds of meters, almost all of which were covered by this light.
“This is indeed one of the top sects in the world. It’s really impressive,” Han Li swept his gaze around and said admiringly.
Liu Le’er and Yu Menghan were holding the edge of the spirit boat at the moment, their faces full of disbelief and their heads constantly turning as they looked around.
Under the pale golden light, the mountain forest was covered in many palace buildings and pavilions.
Some of them were isolated on the mountain cliff, some were linked together to form a garden, some were built among the ravines, some were located halfway up the mountain, forming a unique courtyard.
In the middle of the entire mountain range, there were more than ten mountains which were far higher than the other surrounding mountains. A white fog and purple clouds shrouded them in mystery. There was also a rainbow jumping in between the mountains, which made it look like an immortal paradise.
“It’s so beautiful…” Yu Menghan could not help exclaiming.
Liu Le’er was also nodding her head.
“Daoist Han, Elder Luo is already waiting for us at Outcloud Peak. Let’s go over now.” Returning to her sect, Gu Yunyue was obviously in a good mood as there was a smile on her face.
Han Li nodded.
Just as the boat passed through the layer of light, he felt that there was a divine sense. It should be that Elder Luo.
After they entered the Cold Fire Sect, Liu Le’er looked up curiously, and found that the light had disappeared. What she saw instead was the blue sky and white clouds.
The boat flew to the middle of the mountains and finally landed on one of the towering green peaks.
At the foot of the mountain, there was a broad white stone square, on which stood a big man who was looking fondly towards the direction of the spirit boat.
He was a man with a rough face, wearing an ochre robe and a black belt around his waist. His chest muscles were defined and from the air that was emanating from him, he was a cultivator at the Deity Transformation stage.
