However, when Jing Yue woke up in the next morning, she touched aside but felt no warmth on the bed. Jing Yue frowned since it was not like before that when she woke up, she could feel Xiao Chen’s remaining body temperature even after he had left.
“Yin Qiao, Yin Qiao!” Jing Yue got out of the bed and called loudly.
“Your Highness, at your service.” Yin Qiao hurried into the room and bowed to Jing Yue.
“Where is Xiao Chen? Didn’t he come back last night?” Jing Yue asked with eyebrows knitted.
“The Ninth Prince asked someone to tell us that he’s gone out of the city for some affairs and will come back in three or four days,” replied Yin Qiao with her head bowed.
“Three or four days? Is there anything wrong?” Jing Yue suddenly worried in a deeper frown for Xiao Chen’s sudden disappearance. She had never taken an interest in Xiao Chen’s business. As a result, she didn’t know what he’d been doing or whether he was in danger.
Besides, Xiao Chen came bake safe and sound every time, so Jing Yue didn’t pay much attention to his regular disappearance. But now Jing Yue felt so worried that Xiao Chen had left for over 3 day and she didn’t even have a clue about where he was and what he was doing.
“I have no idea.” Yin Qiao answered.
“Call Xing Er in.” Jing Yue thought for a while and decided to ask Xing Er about it. After knowing that Xiao Chen was just visiting his friends out of the city, Jing Yue felt relived and stopped worrying.
“Yin Qiao, I’ll go out for lunch, tell the kitchen not to prepare the meal.” With that said, Jing Yue lay leisurely on a chair and began to eat grapes.
“Your Highness…” Yin Qiao looked at Jing Yue with a whiny face for Jing Yue’s giving up asking anything about Ninth Prince so quickly. Yin Qiao had expected Jing Yue to care more about Ninth Prince, but Jing Yue’s irresponsible attitude demoralized her a lot.
“Don’t worry… Xiao Chen is so powerful that my Yin Jian stays away from him every time it sees him, let alone other monsters that dare not even approach a step closer to him.” Jing Yue rolled her eyes and stared at Funeral Flower on the table, which seemed to be gazing at the grapes in Jing Yue’s plate.
“Funeral Flower! Go away! It’s my food, don’t bite it!” When Jing Yue realized the intention of Funeral Flower, she quickly moved the plate to the other side and glared at Funeral Flower with anger, “You are a viper! I’ll die if I eat what you’ve bitten!”
“Hiss…hiss…” Funeral Flower bowed its head in sadness.
“Be good, go eat those oranges.” Jing Yue touched the small head of Funeral Flower and continued to eat the grapes.
“Your Highness…” Yin Qiao stood far away with trembling legs and blanched with fear when seeing Funeral Flower playing with the oranges.
Ever since Jing Yue carried Funeral Flower with her, Yin Qiao became a frightened bird who was on guard in case some snake would just pop out of nowhere. And after she saw the snake crawling into Jing Yue’s sleeve, she was too frightened to serve Jing Yue to dress and wash.
“Look at you, it’s just a snake!” Jing Yue looked at Yin Qiao with some teasing contempt, grabbed Funeral Flower and held it before Yin Qiao, “Touch it, I promise that it won’t bite you!”
“Ah, ah, ah…” Yin Qiao’s face turned deadly pale. She was scared back a few steps and finally collapsed to the ground. Meanwhile, she covered her eyes and screamed, “Help! Your Highness, please take it away…
