Chapter 170: As Long as You Aren’t Afraid of Being Poisoned
“Girl, you’d better shut up.” His face darkened, the man grabbed Jing Yue at her neck with no mercy. He narrowed his eyes and looked at Jing Yue, “Don’t challenge me.”
“Cough… let go of me… Cough…” Jing Yue’s face turned red due to the difficult breathing and then she was thrown away by the man.
He sneered and looked down at Jing Yue, “I really don’t know why Xiao Chen likes you.”
Jing Yue gasped for breath. When she finally recovered, her heart trembled slightly after hearing his words. She raised her head and looked at the man with bewilderment, “You know Xiao Chen?”
“Eat it. Only when you’re full, you then get enough energy to play the game with me.” With an evil smile, the man gave a glance at her and responded irrelevantly. Then he turned around and sat on the chair nearby. Jing Yue was a bit surprised and began to try figuring out where she was right now.
It was a delicate yard with many flowers growing on the ground. And all the tables in the yard was filled with tasty food as if there was a special feast here. Looking at the food on the table, Jing Yue couldn’t help but swallow.
It was not her fault!
She had been suffering from hunger all this way. Besides she vomited a lot just now.
So at this time, there was nothing in her stomach. She was totally tempted by the food now.
“Is that…. for me?” Jing Yue walked forward slowly and asked the man who was drinking the wine.
“As long as you aren’t afraid of being poisoned.” The man glanced at Jing Yue scornfully and said.
“Ha-ha-ha…” Hearing his words, Jing Yue gave him several hollow laugh and then she bent down to smell the flavor of the meal on the table. It was so tasty that her mouth was almost watering. At this moment, Jing Yue totally left all misgivings behind her head.
Without any thinking, Jing Yue sat down and guzzled the food hungrily. Her look scared the man into stone. He slowly put the wine on the table, staring at Jing Yue with his eyebrows convulsing.
“How long have you been starved?” He pressed his lips tightly and frowned, asking.
“Since I woke up in the morning…” Jing Yue responded unclearly with her mouth full of food and then kept eating.
Finally, Jing Yue spat out the last bone and cleaned her mouth and hands. She leaned back in her chair comfortably and sighed with a satisfied look as if her life had been complete.
“You’re full?” The man asked.
“Yep.” Jing Yue touched her round belly and narrowed her eyes. While she was going to take a rest, Funeral Flower hiding in the sleeve suddenly moved and crawled out.
“Oops… I almost forgot you.” Jing Yue grabbed Funeral Flower and put it on the table, saying with a smile, “Go ahead.”
“A snake?” The man turned his head and looked at the snake in Jing Yue’s hands.
“Hmmm… it’s Funeral Flower. Would you mind it eating here?” Jing Yue put Funeral Flower in front of a meal, and then she looked up at the man while asking.
“Funeral Flower? Red Funeral Flower?” The man was shocked with his eyes wide open while staring at the small snake on the table with interests. The snake now raised its head and was going to bite the meat. Its exposed red line was so eye-piercing that the man’s pupils constricted suddenly, with fears rising up from the bottom of his heart.
“It seems to like these dishes.” Noticing Funeral Flower enjoy it, Jing Yue looked at the man with her chin resting upon her hands, “Don’t tell me that you take me here just to treat me the lunch.”
