Chapter 174: Chapter 53. Unique Dungeon (2)
Lyhee’s power had grown. I had guessed it as soon as her wings had increased. However, I had not expected that the Tree of Origin would awaken at the same time.
Moreover, the level of the dungeon had increased. The crisis turned out as an opportunity. I felt strange knowing that the spirits instigated this improvement.
If I hadn’t accepted the spirit seeds, or if I didn’t allow them to be born, then this amazing result would not have occurred. I was not capable of solving the case of soul depletion on my own.
The many coincidences instigated this result. It was as if random pieces complemented each other and turned out as a masterpiece.
Rumble!
Shortly after the messages appeared, the dungeon began to change.
The roots of the Tree of Origin expanded through the entire dungeon. It was as if the tree and the dungeon were one.
“The concentration of mana has thickened, too.”
Not only did the dungeon’s defensive power increase, but my ‘authority’ increased as well. I felt it instantly. I could see more details by entering the inside affair mode.
“I can’t believe my dungeon is now on a unique level.”
I had never heard of a unique-rated dungeon even in my previous life. I thought the dungeons were all the same.
When it had become a rare grade, my perception did not change. I thought the level would not grow anymore, but it had reached a unique grade.
“It means there will be epic- and legend-grade dungeons, too.”
I nodded and looked at the front. The light from Lyhee’s body slowly dimmed. Soon, I could see Lyhee. She had slightly grown taller.
“Whoa! Lyhee has grown, Master!”
She was originally about the size of the head, but now she was taller. Her height had increased to about half of the size of a finger. It wasn’t a significant change, but to Lyhee, it could be considered as a big growth.
Lyhee could not contain her happiness. When the light emerged from her, she was much consumed. But now, she looked like she had realized something from it.
“Can you recognize what has changed?”
Lyhee, who was touching her lips with her finger, opened her mouth to answer.
“A little bit. Some of the Magic of Origin has flowed into Lyhee. Each of them has great properties, so Lyhee may not be able to use it often. However, it will be helpful. Oh, and the Tree of Origin told me that, hopefully, the ‘First King’ will be created.”
“King?”
I had no idea what the Magic of Origin was, but I was more curious about the First King. Just like the achievements, a title with “first” always had an advantage. Thus, I became more curious about it.
Lyhee slightly shook her head.
“But the tree said the king can’t just be created. Master has to decide it. Like demons in Devildom or angels in the Celestial World, you can choose a king from individual species. Then, this dungeon will change into another world.”
“…”
I was at a loss for words. What the tree was asking me to do was not a simple thing. It meant that the dungeon could become an independent world. It would become a world like Devildom, the Celestial World, or Earth.
In short…
“Does it mean I will be a god?”
Lyhee laughed.
“No, no. That is not it. Master, what will be the purpose of a god if there is only a king in that world? Of course, if you say, ‘I’m a god!’ in your dungeon, nobody will argue or complain about it. Well, anyway, Lyhee already asked everything.”
She went on, “The tree said, Master is still lacking to become a god. At first, you have to attain the Qualification of God. You can achieve it when you surpass the transcendence. It is called ‘Demigod’. You can’t become one just because you have high stats, but you also need to get many achievements related to it. Since you already have a lot of achievements, if you become stronger than now, you will be qualified. Lyhee-hee.”
Lyhee was saying that I was still weak to qualify as a god. Hearing this from her surprised me, but it somehow convinced me, too.
There were many stronger beings than me, such as the Shadow Emperor; Jinma Dragon Ahojin; and the Spirit King of Fire, Garatsh. Besides, there might be other stronger creatures that I just didn’t know about yet.
The point was, even they did not get the Qualification of God. The Shadow Emperor was close to being a Demigod, but he failed to become a real god. It seemed like he was in Devildom at the moment.
At present, I was a little uncertain about my goal. My true goal was to be the Dark Lord of Devildom. I wanted to be the ruler of Devildom and to rule that place. However, if I built my own world, there would be no reason to be the Dark Lord.
“No. I won’t digress from my goal,” I muttered.
I was pretty obsessed. Once I made a decision, I would stick with it no matter what.
Anyway, as the level of the dungeon was upgraded, it looked like I would get huge benefits.
“Then, how can I make a new king?”
“Oh, that… Lyhee asked, but the tree did not give me a precise answer. It said you have to find a ‘design’ for the Seed of the Beginning of the world. It sounds like a quiz or something.”
“A design?”
I knew it meant the framework or outline when creating something, but I couldn’t grasp it. Was there a design for an angel, demon, human, or monsters somewhere in the world? Only gods would know if there was such a thing.
‘I will find out soon,’ I thought.
There was no need to rush. It was enough to obtain a hint. I might have no idea about it now, but I was hoping to eventually learn more as I moved along.
“Lyhee-hee-hee. Do you want to see magic, Master?”
“You mean, the Magic of Origin?”
“Yes! Lyhee will try it now.”
I could not open Lyhee’s status window even with my Mind’s Eye. I had no idea what skills Lyhee had acquired. She said she had obtained some Magic of Origin, but I had to check if they were really as great as she described them.
‘I should be careful, just in case,’ I pondered.
As I nodded, Lyhee raised her hand.
“Ha!”
A small ray of light shot out from her hand. Soon, the light reached the ceiling of the dungeon. The roots from the Tree of Origin started to simultaneously emerge.
‘Is she trying to attack with roots?’ I wondered.
But it was not the same as I thought. The roots crawled down and were intertwined with each other. Three giants were formed. They were the size of a Hydra.
“This is it, Master,” Lyhee was panting. She wiped the sweat off her forehead. “Lyhee has summoned the Origin Giants.”
Name: Origin Giants
Capability
Power 100, Intelligence 90, Speed 95, Strength 100, Mana 80
Potential (465/???)
Others: A giant temporarily created from the Tree of Origin. The strength and summoning duration will be determined by the power of the Fairy of Origin.
These monsters were the highest of the high grades. They were comparable to the highest monsters at level 3. Although Lyhee needed the Tree of Origin to do her magic, it would be such a great help inside the dungeon.
The problem was…duration time.
“No,” Lyhee said, shaking her head, “so thirsty. I can’t, Master. This is Lyhee’s limit.”
After one or two minutes, Lyhee was panting like a thirsty dog. She summoned three giants at once. It took a toll on her; she overworked herself.
‘It was very short. I guess her other magic will be similar then,’ I mused.
It was powerful, but she was not able to control it yet.
Anyway, the Magic of Origin was quite appealing. If Lyhee learned how to use them better and increased her power, her value would increase, more than any other monsters in the dungeon.
She was not quite there yet, but, for my part, it would be best to give her some time.
“You did a good job.”
“Lyhee-hee-hee-hee.” Lyhee was ecstatic and twisted her body.
It had been a while since she heard a compliment from me, so she looked exceptionally enthusiastic this day. I let Lyhee be and looked at the Dungeon Core.
“Inside affair mode.”
To check the difference after the dungeon had become a unique grade, I entered to the inside affair mode.
At the same time, numerous letters formed in front of me. I scanned over the changes.
[Dungeon’s grade: Unique]
[Dungeon’s Barrier Total: 20,000,000]
[Dungeon’s Mana Status: Pure (The stats of all monsters in the dungeon +2)]
…
[The roots of the Tree of Origin have spread entirely through the dungeon (all floors, the breeding rate has significantly increased).]
[It is possible to change the appearance of the dungeon. Height and Width Upper Limit: 200 kilometers]
[The probability of giving birth to a monster that goes beyond the limits of its species has significantly increased.]
…
[The floors can be merged.]
[The potential limitations of the Master Guardian has increased by 50.]
There were lots of messages. I focused on the more important ones, such as the defensive power of the dungeon, the barrier, had significantly increased. All monsters’ stats had also increased by 10. It was pretty significant.
Also, the probability of giving birth to a monster beyond the limits caught my eyes. Not only a king or a lord, but also a higher being could be born.
“Named,” I recalled the term.
It meant there was a possibility of a monster would win a name. Leaving the name behind was not an easy job. Now, there was a chance for me to get a named monster like Jinma Dragon Ahojin, which even passed the realm of transcendence.
Those beings were called Named. In my previous life, humans used this term.
“The Master Guardian is Krithli.”
Also, Krithli’s potential had increased by 50. Her original capabilities were 484, and they increased to 534. That meant she had the qualifications to transcendence.
“A transcendental monster who obeys me… Sounds good.”
There was still a long way to go, but my fists clenched tightly as I imagined it. I would have more power if Krithli entered the realm of transcendence.
Lyhee also got her special magic. I was very excited.
I sorted out my thoughts and called Lyhee, who was still smiling.
“Ahem! Ahem! Yes?”
Lyhee tried to look serious as she turned to face me. She was curious about what I was about to say. Well, I only had one thing to say, and it was simple.
“I will reduce the floors. I will only have two floors in the dungeon.”
The dungeon had 32 floors. I wanted to merge them into two large floors: the topmost floor and one floor for the monsters. I knew that this would be challenging. However, joining them together would allow for efficient management.
The size of the dungeon would be over one’s imaginations. It might be possible to call it a small world.
