Chapter 210: Chapter 66. Gustarte (2)
Kim Youra talked to Yoo Eunhye. She was the older sister of the two, and the priest always sounded very calm. For some reason, she appeared to have mixed feelings.
At the same time, Kim Youra seemed somewhat regretful.
Yoo Eunhye, the leader of the team, did not notice that the priest was feeling regretful.
“Are you saying that archdukes are in a different league?”
“Even if a regular demon has the same level as an archduke, an archduke is much stronger…”
Out of all the team members, only 23 had survived. When Kim Youra told them how powerful an archduke was, they were all silent, awed at the power of the archduke in front of them.
Boom!
The black storm was moving back and forth, leaving nothing behind. Its power was beyond one’s imagination.
Moreover, the black sun in the sky was constantly absorbing angels nearby like a black hole. A single archduke was fighting against an army of angels, but the archduke was clearly dominating the battle.
“Hahahaha!”
At that moment, Archduke Ufa laughed out loud.
He was looking at an angel who neither the storm could damage nor the black sun could absorb.
It was Power. She had three pairs of wings.
Rays of bright light were radiating from the space around her. It seemed that the light was protecting the angel against attacks.
Smiling, Ufa approached the angel.
“How long do you think that light will protect you?” Ufa mocked her.
“No demon can penetrate the blessing of God!”
“What a blessing you have indeed.”
The archduke let go of the black storm. Then it split into hundreds of smaller storms, surrounding Power.
Ufa rode one of the storms and advanced towards the angel. Then the archduke stuck his hand into the light forcibly.
The light repelled the evil, and it started burning the archduke’s hand. However, Ufa seemed unsurprised and smiled. Wherever his hand reached, the light faded away and darkness emanated.
“Ah!”
Ufa soon started to choke Power.
“I will gently eat you.”
When the light around the angel was completely gone, Ufa carefully patted the angel’s body, and he bit the angel’s neck.
“…”
When Yoo Eunhye saw the scene, she could not help but close her eyes.
For the first time, the awakened hero witnessed a demon eating an angel alive. The evil prevailed while the good fell. Yoo Eunhye felt helpless at the horrible sight. Although the angels were not much of help to humans, they were holy and powerful. She had never thought that an archduke would destroy an army of angels so ruthlessly like that.
“I would rather…,” she considered.
The awakened hero thought about changing the plan. She was tempted to detonate Hope, thinking that it might kill Archduke Ufa.
The explosion may not kill all demons at the Royal Observatory, but, if the explosion successfully eliminated Archduke Ufa and tens of thousands of his demons, it would be worth the effort.
‘This is our last chance. I will lose it if we get caught,’ she thought.
The awakened hero changed her mind. She then calmed down and opened her eyes again.
Yoo Eunhye decided to see what Ufa would do after he wiped out all the angels. She was going to change her plan according to the archduke’s next move.
Fortunately, when all of the angels were eliminated, the archdukes turned around and left. The demons also followed their respective leaders.
“They’re gone.”
Yoo Eunhye spoke again long after Ufa disappeared.
“Phew!”
“What the heck! That monster was way too powerful!”
“Can we beat them, Unit Leader?”
Panting, the rest of the members tried to calm down.
“We have Hope…,” Yoo Eunhye encouraged them. “And as long as we have Hope, we can win.”
Yoo Eunhye tried to stay positive.
The rest of the team agreed with her, but the two sisters, Kim Youra and Kim Minji, seemed to disagree.
In particular, Kim Youra looked concerned.
“An archduke…”

I was looking over the battlefield from the clock tower, which was located in the center of the castle. Thanks to my keen senses, I could feel what was going on.
“Ufa is using his full power,” I observed.
Ufa Blennon was currently in a war with Ariel Diablo. He did not hesitate to show his full strength. Perhaps the archduke thought that he did not need to hide anymore since everyone had seen his strength through the war with Ariel. When I saw him, I was quite amazed at how strong he had become.
“He recovered most of his strength from the previous life,” I perceived.
From the skills that he used, I could tell that Ufa was now as strong as he once was in his previous life. I wondered how he could recover his strength so quickly.
“If he enters the realm of transcendence, he may be able to summon Blennon, the Giant Castle,” I surmised.
Fortunately, no demon had entered the realm of transcendence, even though some almost did. Ufa was one of them. In other words, he could not summon Blennon, the Giant Castle, yet.
The castle would be a headache if Ufa could summon it.
It was made out of the largest mountain in Devildom. If Ufa got on it, he would be invincible.
“Pandemonium is the only one that’s hiding his full strength,” I remarked.
Even Ariel was slaughtering angels with her knights. The larger the number of silver knights was, the stronger they become. They had not fully grown yet, and I wondered how strong they would become when they reached their full potential.
On the contrary, Pandemonium wasn’t so enthusiastic about killing angels. He did not even leave the castle, as though he was keeping me in check.
“Do you think that I might run away or something, Pandemonium?”
I could not help but smile.
At some point, I had to go out and join the slaughter. After all, I set the stage for this event.
Other archdukes wanted to make sure that I participated, and they left some of their demons to watch over me.
“Phew! Master! Master!”
Soon, I could hear a familiar voice nearby.
When I turned around, I found Lyhee flying towards me.
“What is the matter?”
I immediately secluded myself and Lyhee from the surrounding using my mana. There were eyes watching me, and I did not want the other archdukes to find out about my business. If they did, it would be a pain.
Lyhee wiped off the sweat on her forehead and began to speak.
“Master, Lyhee just got a message. She got it from Krithli. So what Lyhee heard was that—”
“Let’s get to the point,” I cut her off. I only had limited time.
“She captured the Wizard of the Moon.”
“Good.”
I nodded. Everything was going as I had expected.
I had thought that Ufa would not bring the Wizard of the Moon to the gathering. The wizard was quite unstable. Then I tracked down his whereabouts and prepared a plan to capture him.
Fortunately, my plan seemed to work.
The first part of my plan worked out successfully, and I anticipated that the following plans would just be as successful, too, if not better.
‘I don’t know exactly what they want, but…,’ I thought.
The archdukes talked about a special event, but I did not know exactly what it was.
Furthermore, I did not know why they were so nervous and needed me.
There were still a lot of uncertainties, but I was slowly making progress, taking one step at a time.
I got what I wanted and planned to get.
Then I turned my gaze towards the horizon. Smoke rose, and I could sense blood spilling. Ufa and Ariel were ruthlessly slaughtering the angels.
If the killing continued, Hashi might end up in danger. However, I could not care less.
“Angels are not fools,” I remarked.
I knew that they would come back, and I learned this through Hashi. Angels had their secret weapons, and they could inflict significant damages to demons.
I searched my pocket and felt an arrowhead.
0001 gave me this when I had gone to the Reverse World.
It was the Moon Arrow, which was of a legend grade.
In order to bond Gustarte, the Wizard of the Moon, who was also an intermediate god, one would need this item.
I did not know what this arrowhead would do, but I believed that it would do something at least.
My monsters captured the wizard for me, and it was time for me to make the next move.
“I will be back soon.”
“Huh? Other demons won’t like it, will they? Lyhee thinks so…”
Other archdukes, including Ufa, knew that I was unpredictable, and they left behind some of their demons to keep an eye on me.
Despite the watchful eyes, I had to move.
“Call Oswen. He will take care of the rest.”
“Yes, Master. I will just have to call him?”
Lyhee looked puzzled, and I patted her shoulders lightly.
“I believe in you.”
Then I took out the scroll of teleportation and ripped it. I had blocked the flow of mana in the nearby area so that no magic would work. However, this scroll could penetrate the barrier. Although it would not bring me far, I did not have any other options besides this scroll.
Soon, I disappeared without a trace, leaving Lyhee behind.
“Master?”
Lyhee blinked her eyes.
The fairy knew that her master would use a scroll of teleportation. However, he disappeared so quietly and swiftly that she thought he was still there.
“Where…where did he go?”
Lyhee bit her lips. Now she realized that her master was gone. He did not give her much instructions. However, she felt good that her master believed in her. Such words made her proud.
“Ah…there is no time for this. Master told me to go and consult Oswen.”
Clapping her hands, Lyhee flew quickly. The fairy hoped that she would learn more about the situation after she met with Oswen.
In the meantime, Oswen was taking a break, sitting inside the underground storage of the castle.
“Oswen! You filthy corpse!”
“I am already dead, and it is cruel for you to say that, Miss Fairy.”
“Master sent me to talk to you.”
“About what?”
“Lyhee doesn’t know. Master disappeared all of a sudden.”
Lyhee shook her head.
She did not know what to do, which frustrated her. Unfortunately, Oswen seemed clueless as well.
“You don’t know anything either?”
Oswen was occupied with thoughts for a moment. Then he crossed his arms.
“I think I know what to do, but I am uncertain if Miss Fairy could handle it…”
“What are you talking about? Lyhee can do anything!”
“Oh… Is that true? Then that’s good news. Miss Fairy will have to be the master.”
“Huh?”
“You have to transform yourself into the master. Otherwise, it will be very hard to deceive enemies. If they find out that our master is gone, they will go wild.”
Lyhee’s eyes widened.
When Oswen saw that the fairy was shocked at his suggestion, he smiled.
“Are you sure that you can do it?”
“S-sure, I can do it. But, Lyhee is very small. I don’t know how I can pretend to be like the master, who is quite taller than I am.”
“Well, I have a solution.”
“What is that?”
“You are asking the right person. After all, I am one of the best monsters of our master. And of course, the best is you, Miss Fairy. I can make you look like our master, and no one will find out who you really are.”
Soon, Oswen took out a book from the storage.
“This book contains detailed information about our master. In addition, it can temporarily transform one into him.”
“Oh, okay…”
“Then let us begin.”
Oswen opened the book. When he murmured a few spells, gray light surrounded Lyhee.
After about three minutes, the fairy looked like Randalf Bruciel.
Her flow of mana looked similar to that of Randalf’s. Oswen believed that the fairy could deceive a low monster at least, although he wasn’t sure if Lyhee could pretend very well.
After some time, Lyhee realized that Oswen could better mimic her master than she was. However, it was already too late.
