Chapter 242: Epilogue
When I plundered Death Bringer, I gained all of his powers. And when all of the enemies disappeared, the survivors started to cheer.
We were victorious.
We fought against the Demon God and defeated him.
The survivors moved the dead and had a funeral for them. Then a huge party began, and everyone celebrated the victory. I was at the center of attention.
I was the Dark Lord who had killed the Demon God.
Most knew me as the Hell Lord, but some knew who I really was.
I became invincible in Devildom after killing the Demon God. I was the king and the ruler of Devildom.
I declared that I would work on the recovery of Devildom.
At the same time, I held a coronation ceremony in the Castle of the Dark Lord.
Those who had been hiding from the war started to appear in Devildom.
On the day of the ceremony, there were more than ten million demons gathered in front of the castle.
Everyone in Devildom now knew who the new Dark Lord was. The name of their new king was Randalf Bruciel.
After all the parties were over, I went into the Room of the Dark Lord alone.
It was very silent.
Tip, tap.
My footsteps echoed in the room.
I climbed the stairs very slowly.
After dozens of staircases, I found a large chair.
It was made of dragons’ and Balrogs’ bones, and only the Dark Lord was allowed to sit on it.
I sat on that chair.
I laid back and tilted my head. Then I took a deep breath.
It was indeed a very long journey. I became the Dark Lord, the position that I wanted so dearly, and I was now sitting on this chair.
“…”
I closed my eyes slowly.
Then I fell into a deep sleep.
It was a comfortable one, which I had not had in a while.

The survivors on Earth recovered quickly. There were no more demons who threatened mankind. Only dungeons and monsters remained.
However, there were changes.
First of all, the sky changed. There was a giant black door floating in the air. However, no plane or jet could reach the door. In fact, no one could reach that door. Even though no human could enter that door, they knew that it was connected to the world of demons. As a result, no one tried to get close to it.
And dungeons became a bit larger.
Some of them even reached the sky and touched the black door, as though they were connected to it.
Monsters that had survived evolved and grew in their numbers quickly in the dungeons.
When the number of monsters increased, monster waves occurred again. However, awakened heroes united and stood against the threat together. The monsters that escaped from the dungeons were weak, so the awakened heroes did not have much trouble fighting them.
As time passed by, the awakened heroes divided into two groups. One was a group of guardians, who protected mankind against any threats. The other was called Dungeon Hunters, who explored dungeons.
“Hey, watch out!”
Edward cried.
He swung his sword and sliced the monster that was about to attack Yoo Eunhye.
Grrr!
The monster’s body was split into two pieces, and the monster screamed.
After the threat was gone, Edward sighed.
“Phew! I told you to be cautious!”
Edward sighed again.
Then Yoo Eunhye smiled playfully.
“I thought you were going to protect my back?”
“Well, I said that, but this is too much.”
“I thought you are the best awakened hero on Earth?”
“Let’s move on.”
Edward shook his head.
Meanwhile, Kim Youra and Kim Minji tried to cure the awakened heroes who were hurt.
“Suture.”
“Cure.”
The wounds cured immediately. Yoo Eunhye had seen their abilities many times, but she was surprised every time she saw them.
“We wouldn’t have come this far if we didn’t have you two. Thanks a lot.”
“I’m just doing my job.”
Kim Youra smiled.
Only about three years ago, she looked very gloomy. However, after the dungeons had transformed, Kim Youra became bright again, just like how she had been in the past.
“Anyway, how tall is this dungeon? This is already the fifty-fourth floor…”
Yoo Eunhye pouted while kicking the floor. She was an awakened hero who explored and hunted monsters in dungeons. The awakened hero had already conquered several dungeons, and she came here to conquer the tallest dungeon in Korea.
However, this one was hard.
“You have already conquered so many. Let’s relax. We’ll reach the top soon.”
Edward told Yoo Eunhye optimistically. Yoo Eunhye ignored Edward and continued to speak.
“I wonder what is on the top floor? I will be disappointed if it is just a Dungeon Core that has lost its light.”
“This one is special. It’s the Dark Lord’s dungeon in Korea! And this is our eighth attempt… Maybe this is connected to the door in the sky?”
“You said that the door was connected to the demons’ world?”
“Yes, that is what I heard. But don’t you dare try go into that door. Our job is to assess any threats. Demons can come back any time, so we just need to check that possibility.”
Dungeon Hunters not only hunted monsters in dungeons but also carried out scouting missions.
“When you say we check for threats…”
“Ah, please, don’t even try. Whenever I think about that incident, I still get nervous.”
Edward was talking about what happened in the Royal Observatory of Greenwich. That incident gave Edward nightmares.
“What are you talking about? You don’t remember how I killed so many demons, do you?”
“Yeah right. Do you know how dangerous it was? And you tell me that you saved the Dark Lord? Well, where is that Dark Lord now?”
“Somewhere over there.”
Yoo Eunhye pointed to the sky.
“You are correct. He returned to where he came from. So just forget about him.”
“I did.”
“I’ll punish you if you keep on lying.”
“I really did!”
The two started to argue with each other.
Kim Youra snickered. Kim Minji also smiled faintly.
“The two don’t change.”
Kim Minji nodded.
No matter how much they improved and how much time had passed, Yoo Eunhye and Edward remained the same. They were two unbreakable awakened heroes who deeply trusted each other. And Kim Youra knew where the trust came from.
The Guild of Heaven’s Will was the world’s best guild for Dungeon Hunters. They were the last pioneers in the age when demons disappeared. Many awakened heroes quit exploring dungeons, and people called them guardians. However, they did not stop the exploration to protect people. They stopped simply because they got tired of fighting monsters.
However, the Guild of Heaven’s Will did not stop. They continued to explore new dungeons. If they found treasures, the guild gave them to the poor. The guild members also used the cores which they found in dungeons to develop new technologies to generate energy.
Thanks to their donation, the new technologies related to energy revolutionized the world last year.
Such technologies boosted productivity, and people became optimistic that the world may be able to return to what it was before the war.
However, some were still nervous. Changes in the dungeons, the door that appeared in the sky, and the possibility of demons reappearing made them worry.
The Guild of Heaven’s Will had to take action to relieve such concerns. They had to take roads less traveled, guiding mankind towards hope.
So far, the guild had done a great job, and everyone expected it to continue excelling.
“As long as we have the two,” Kim Youra thought.
Edward and Yoo Eunhye was the world’s best duo. Not only were they the world’s best awakened heroes, but they were also very close to the Dark Lord.
Although people called Kim Youra and Kim Minji as Holy Women and praised them, the two were not as outstanding as Edward and Yoo Eunhye.
At that moment, one person came up in Kim Youra’s mind. She thought about Randalf Bruciel, the Dark Lord.
That name still terrified her. Despite the fear, she knew that he helped save mankind.
If it were not him, the entire mankind would have been gone. And she would not be here, listening to the two joking around with each other.
“Stop fighting! You are attracting the monsters!”
Kim Youra yelled.
Then Yoo Eunhye shouted back.
“I wanted them to gather!”
“Ah, Eunhye, please!”
Edward shook his head.

The Dungeon Core in Korea shone. Once a core was done, it would not light again. In particular, if the fairy who was connected to the core vanished, the Dungeon Core would lose its light forever.
However, it lit up again.
In other words, the fairy who was connected to the core in Korea had not vanished, yet.
Krithli told me this news.
“Look for the fairy, even if you have to search the entire world.”
I ordered my demons, who were several millions in number, and they started searching.
I was in front of a small nameless pond.
It was about ten meters wide.
The pond was neither shallow nor deep. It was just an ordinary pond.
I went closer to it, and I looked into the water.
“Here it is.”
I spoke quietly.
There, I found a Seed of Fairy. It had not bloomed, yet. One must give a name to the fairy to have the seed bloom.
If it was not for my God’s Eye, I would have missed it. Thanks to my skill, I could recognize whose seed this was.
“Your name is Lyhee. That’s because you laugh like that. Remember that you must laugh like a fool.”
I stretched out my hand carefully and touched the seed.
“You will become the Fairy King someday. And when you become one, finish your job, which you sacrificed for me. I believe that your World of Fairy will be quite interesting.”
I carefully let go of my hand.
The seed was in the pond. If the pond disappeared or if the seed left the pond, it would not bloom and disappear for good.
It would take a very long period of time for the seed to bloom, at least a thousand years. Perhaps it might take much longer than that.
The pond would not stand the test of such a long period of time. Not only was it too small, but its recovering power was also not strong enough.
Without even turning around, I gave an order to the person standing behind me.
“Move the Castle of the Dark Lord here. My chair will be right next to this pond.”
“As you wish, my Dark Lord.”
It was Krithli. The Dark Elf gladly left to carry out my order.
I was the Dark Lord, and I proved myself by killing the Demon God. My words carried strength, and whatever I wished was realized. I wanted to move the Castle of the Dark Lord, and so be it.
However, it would take time to move the castle. I looked around and cut some trees nearby.
And I made a chair out of them. At a glance, it looked like the Throne of the Dark Lord, but it was made of wood.
It was one crude throne, but I placed it next to the pond and sat on it.
“Haha!”
Then I laughed out loud.
“Hahaha!”
My dream had finally come true.
