Chapter 489: Chapter 487: The Unforgettable Childhood Emotions_1
“Yellow Jujube?”
After a slight hesitation, Lin Qingluo agreed.
Though Yellow Jujube was not a famous pure-blooded treasure horse and couldn’t match the endurance and speed of Black Wind and Lightning, it had been carefully raised by her using her spiritual power since childhood.
Moreover, Yellow Jujube had a gentle temperament like Soybean, was deeply attached to the Little Prince, and was certainly a good choice.
Lin Qingluo took the Little Prince back to the Su Clan residence.
Maodou, Heidou, Sister Wan, and Niuniu were all delighted to see the two siblings.
Just like cheerful little sparrows, they chattered around them nonstop.
Lin Qingluo listened patiently as her siblings talked about the Academy and the interesting happenings in the village, laughing and enjoying the atmosphere.
She complimented them from time to time, making the four children blush with happiness.
The Little Prince was also delighted, playing and frolicking with the four children. Soon, they ran out of the courtyard and started having fun on the riverbank.
When Su Hu and his wife Li Xiu’e saw their daughter coming home, they were also overjoyed.
Li Xiu’e’s heart swelled with happiness as she hugged her precious daughter, unwilling to let go.
Lin Qingluo nestled in her embrace, smiling with her eyes curved, enjoying her foster mother’s love to the fullest.
Since her daughter was home for a rare visit, Li Xiu’e and Grandma Liu prepared a delicious meal together, making sure to cater to Lin Qingluo’s taste.
Considering that the Little Prince was also there, they specially made Pigeon Soup for him.
When Su Hu asked about the purpose of their visit and learned that the Little Prince wanted to ride a horse and explore with Yellow Jujube, he agreed without any objections.
When dinner was ready, the family happily enjoyed a reunion dinner together.
After dinner, Su Hu purposely led Yellow Jujube out from the stable, letting the Little Prince ride and run circles on the riverbank.
The Little Prince and Yellow Jujube were closest when the latter was still a foal.
Although they had been apart for some time, their childhood bond was not easily forgotten.
The Little Prince rode Yellow Jujube, galloping happily on the riverbank, his joyous laughter echoing back into the courtyard and lifting everyone’s spirits.
“Are you taking Yellow Jujube away today?”
Looking at his happy daughter, Su Hu asked with a smile.
Lin Qingluo shook her head, still smiling, “No, we’ll return when we’re leaving in a few days.”
Su Hu, feeling worried, asked, “Where are you planning to go?”
Lin Qingluo responded with a sweet smile, “To the Jiangnan Water Towns, a prosperous land.”
“Jiangnan is lovely.”
Su Hu nodded satisfied, “It’s a peaceful place with no war, and the scenery along the way is beautiful.”
Lin Qingluo grinned, “Yes, that’s what Qingluo was thinking too.”
“Don’t play around for too long.”
Su Hu, full of fatherly concern, reminded, “Your mother will miss you, and we can’t help but worry when you’re gone for an extended period.”
“Mhm, Qingluo understands.”
Lin Qingluo obediently nodded, “I’ll come back as soon as possible.”
“Time flies. In the blink of an eye, Xuan’er has grown so big already.”
Su Hu smiled, watching the Little Prince ride and have fun, a hint of nostalgia in his eyes, “Back when we saved him in Furong Town, he was just a baby. Now, he’s already eight years old.”
“Yes, time really passes quickly.”
Lin Qingluo also felt a poignant nostalgia, thinking of her happy childhood memories.
“Sister, look, Yellow Jujube is running so fast, it’s not much inferior to Black Wind.”
The Little Prince had ridden several laps on the riverbank and came back, still longing for more fun.
“Good job, Yellow Jujube.”
As Yellow Jujube came closer, Lin Qingluo patted its head with a smile.
“Huff huff.”
Yellow Jujube happily neighed and affectionately rubbed against her wrist.
“Xuan’er, it’s getting late. Shouldn’t we head back?”
Lin Qingluo smiled, lifting the Little Prince down from the horse.
“Do you need to go back to the valley so late?”
Li Xiu’e, worried, emerged from the house, “It’s getting dark, and the mountain road is difficult to walk on. Why not stay at home for the night and return tomorrow morning?”
