Chapter 20: Ruthless Murderer
The man at the front was called Horace. He was the leader of this organization and looked very fierce.
Especially with the scar on his face, it was obvious that he was not an ordinary person.
The three people following him were called Carpenter, Ricky, and Billy. They were covered in tattoos of all shapes and sizes.
Hearing David’s cold words, everyone showed a look of contempt.
“Big brother, this kid is very arrogant. He actually dared to talk back?” Carpenter chuckled softly.
“Should we teach him a good lesson?” Ricky asked again.
Billy said with a somber look, “We haven’t had meat for a long time. I wonder what human flesh tastes like.”
David frowned at their words. He took two steps back and turned to leave.
Carpenter immediately stepped forward to block his path. “Weren’t you very arrogant? Didn’t you dare to argue with us? Why are you afraid now?”
David said in a low voice, “I don’t want to have any conflict with you. Don’t go overboard.”
“We are going overboard?”
Ricky chuckled lightly. “This is our territory. You came to our territory and you’re saying that we’re going too far?”
Everyone in David’s livestream room was in a sweat over his actions.
They also felt that David was a little impulsive. It was evident that this group of people were not simple characters. Why was he so rash with his words?
If he were to calm down and speak nicely, the other party probably wouldn’t find trouble with him, right?
“I remember, I remember who he is!” Someone sent a comment.
“Who is it? Do you know this person?”
“I like to read criminal cases. This man was a ruthless murderer from 10 years ago.”
“What? Ruthless murder?”
“That’s right. He killed a total of 15 people. There were elderly, women, and children. He would not let anyone who provoked him off.”
“So frightening? Why isn’t he locked up in prison?”
“He should have been sentenced to life imprisonment. Why is he here?”
“Could it be that he secretly signed up to participate in this competition while he was on bail and managed to blend in with those people?”
“The analysis makes sense. It’s very likely what happened.”
“So what do we do? This bunch of people that David has met aren’t simple.”
“To his north is Morton, and to his northwest is Horace. Actually, if he doesn’t take action, he doesn’t need to worry about safety at all.”
“I think so. With these two groups of people protecting him, nothing would happen to him even if he stays there.”
“What can we do? He’s the one who wants to run around. He’s no match for these people.”
In the main livestream, Ally and Wade continued to host the show.
Ally saw the views of others and looked at Wade. “Mr. Wade, do you think he has a chance to escape?”
After the first times of having to take back his words, Wade was almost traumatized, especially when faced with David.
When you say he can’t, he just can.
When it was clearly a path of certain death, he managed to survive.
In Wade’s opinion, he was doomed this time too.
However, he did not dare to be so certain this time. To avoid failing at the predictions again, he could only answer ambiguously.
He said with a smile, “According to my observations over such a long period of time, David is a very smart person. I don’t think he would do something rash. He must have his reasons for doing so.”
The audience in the main livestream found it unbelievable. They never expected Wade to say this.
The person he provoked is a homicidal maniac. To such a person, killing someone was like squashing an ant.
They would not feel any psychological burden or guilt. Instead, they would appear especially excited.
David had provoked such a person of all people and even said such arrogant words. How could he possibly survive?
Everyone felt that he was done for this time.
There were others who were already eager to go, talking wildly.
“If he doesn’t die this time, I’ll eat a keyboard.”
“I’ll chew up a mouse.”
“‘I’ll eat my phone, will that do?”
“I don’t believe he can survive.”
Only the real fans in David’s livestream were worried and afraid that something would happen to him.
Most importantly, they were all looking forward to him turning the tables.
David faced the people around him. He was depressed to see them all smirking.
He had only come out to look for some clay soil. He did not expect to meet other participants.
Logically speaking, he should be happy to meet his fellow countrymen, but the other party was simply too arrogant.
The way they looked at him and spoke to him had accurately struck his nerves.
He had said those words without thinking.
Now that he had calmed down, he did not regret it either.
He had practiced his combat skill for so long, but his skill had been stuck at Level 3 for a long time.
He had tried many ways to level up, but none of them worked. He desperately needed an opponent.
He also wanted to know how his current strength was and if he had the strength to fight.
The only pity was that he would be facing four people this time. If it was one or two people, they would not be a problem at all!
David glanced over at them. “I have other business to attend to,” he said flatly. “Don’t delay my time. Get out of my way.”
“Hey, rascal, you’re really arrogant. Do you know who my big brother is? You still dare to say such things?” Carpenter said in displeasure.
“Who is he?” David shot back.
Ricky furrowed his brows, he was extremely upset at his reply. How could he not know about big brother, who is so famous?
He said coldly, “My big brother is a famous murderer. Back then, 15 people provoked him and they all died in his hands. Among them were children and women!”
David frowned. He found it strange. Why was there such a murderous fiend on this island?
Shouldn’t such a person be locked up in prison?
Could it be that he escaped from prison?
Carpenter smiled smugly. “Well? Are you scared now?”
David laughed coldly. “Those things he did were just bullying the weak. What’s so great about bullying children and women? Is it worth praising?”
“You…” Carpenter’s eyes widened in shock. He had never expected David to be so arrogant.
Horace was also furious. He pushed Billy, who was standing in front him, away and walked towards David.
“Kid, you’re the first person I’ve met who dared to provoke me. Even in prison, nobody dares to speak to me like that.”
David could feel a powerful presence coming at him. Such a presence was created because the person had been through a lot.
Under this aura, he seemed to have become an extremely weak existence.
The livestream became lively again.
“Listen to that, is he speaking human language?”
“He’s courting death again. I can’t continue watching this.”
“I don’t believe he can escape this time.”
“If there is another accident that allows him to escape, I will seriously suspect that the organizers have done this on purpose.”
