2561 Capabilities and Plotting!
When Chef Supreme said that he knew that Du Miao did not call the shots in the Freedom Federation, Du Miao’s expression soured.
They were all members of royalty of their respective federations. Chef Supreme could make decisions on behalf of the Radiance Federation, but Du Miao could not do the same for the Freedom Federation.
By bringing this fact up, Chef Supreme had shredded all courtesy between himself and Du Miao. It was as though Du Miao was only a member of royalty in name but was actually nothing more than the Mirror God and God of Fools’ lapdog.
Du Miao was also very surprised. He had never expected Chef Supreme to make such a promise.
Just what was giving them the confidence to make such a promise?
In terms of overall power, the Radiance Federation was weaker than the Freedom Federation. Yet, the Radiance Federation had only sent two members of royalty on this aid mission to the Freedom Federation.
Could it be that Chef Supreme and Iron Prison were enough to get the Dictators from the marsh world to agree to a deal?
No one knew better than the Freedom Federation how difficult it was to communicate with the marsh world’s Dictators.
Once anyone from the Freedom Federation showed their face to the marsh world’s dimensional lifeforms, they would immediately go into a frenzy and begin attacking without any thought for peaceful negotiation.
The Freedom Federation had yet to successfully communicate with a single one of the marsh world’s dimensional lifeforms.
The Class 6 marsh dimensional rift had not opened in the Radiance Federation. A Class 6 abyss dimensional rift had opened instead.
Could it be that the abyss demons from the abyssal world were much more amenable than the marsh world’s dimensional lifeforms, and this was what was giving the Radiance Federation this misconception? Or could it be that while helping the Azure Federation with their crisis, the Radiance Federation had discovered that the water world’s experts were willing to communicate with humans?
If that were the case, the Radiance Federation was much too arrogant!
Du Miao never suspected that the Radiance Federation was in cahoots with the lifeforms from the marsh world.
Du Miao did not overanalyze what Chef Supreme said. Regardless, the decision lay in the hands of the Mirror God and God of Fools. He was only a messenger.
Even if he carefully pondered over what Chef Supreme said, it would be for naught. Thus, it would be better not to expend any effort into this.
After the Freedom Federation’s meeting to decide whether to seek aid from the Radiance Federation and Azure Federation, many of the Freedom Federation’s royalty lost their sense of pride and belonging. Du Miao was among them.
Du Miao would have already left if he had not known that the Mirror God and God of Fools would not allow another member of royalty to escape after the Goddess of Mercy had fled.
He had sufficient power to do well for himself anywhere, even without the backing of the Freedom Federation. If he found a small federation without a Class 5 Creation Master, he could easily become its ruler.
“Chef Supreme, remember what you just said. I will relay your words to the Mirror God and God of Fools. I will seek the two of you out again at a later time. I hope you will be able to make good on your word!”
Chef Supreme scoffed coldly.
“Since I’ve already said it, it’s only natural that I mean it. I would never claim anything that I can’t carry through! Iron Prison and I will lead the people from the Radiance Federation into the marsh world. It goes without saying that if negotiations fail, we won’t be coming out! Why would we joke around with our own safety?”
Once he was done speaking, Chef Supreme made a gesture as though he was dismissing a guest. It was clear he did not want to hear another word from Du Miao.
Du Miao forced down his fury and left the room.
At that moment, he was very curious.
Du Miao could not understand why Chef Supreme and Iron Prison were so strong-headed. Were they not afraid of being targeted by the Freedom Federation?
If the Freedom Federation did not need to borrow the Radiance Federation’s strength now to fend off the marsh world, the Mirror God and God of Fools would already have captured Chef Supreme and Iron Prison.
Once Du Miao left, Iron Prison looked at Chef Supreme and asked, “Why are you suddenly making a deal with the Freedom Federation? Isn’t it a bit early to be doing so?”
Chef Supreme shot a frustrated look at Iron Prison.
“Iron Prison, you say that it’s too early. So when would you say it’s the right time to make a deal with the Freedom Federation? Are you trying to squeeze even more resources out of them?”
Iron Prison nodded and replied, “The Freedom Federation has no choice but to rely on the Azure Federation and us now. The Azure Federation is also going to follow our lead. I think we can squeeze the Freedom Federation as hard as we want, and they will have no choice but to agree!”
When Chef Supreme heard this, he thought, It’s a good thing that the Moon Empress sent me here too instead of letting Iron Prison come alone. Otherwise, Iron Prison’s plan to continuously wring the Freedom Federation for resources would definitely have led to trouble!
Chef Supreme had made this decision because he could tell that the Freedom Federation had already been pushed to its limit. Now, it would be best to solve the Freedom Federation’s issue and return to the Radiance Federation with a large harvest of resources rather than continuing to remain in the Freedom Federation.
The Azure Federation had been following the Radiance Federation’s lead. When Chef Supreme spoke with the leaders of the Azure Federation, he learned that many of them already wanted to return to the Azure Federation.
The Azure Federation had just experienced a crisis, and there were many other smaller issues to address.
If they made a deal with the Freedom Federation now, the Azure Federation would also be released soon.
Given that the Radiance Federation had helped the Azure Federation attain significant resources from this deal with the Freedom Federation, it would feel indebted to the Radiance Federation and continue to follow their lead in future collaborations.
This was the most beneficial course of action for the Radiance Federation’s development.
Otherwise, if the Radiance Federation’s decision implicated the Azure Federation and failed to help them secure sufficient profits, the Azure Federation would never listen to the Radiance Federation again in future endeavors!
“Iron Prison, haven’t you sensed that the Freedom Federation has reached its limit? If you continue pushing them, they won’t go for it because they don’t have many resources left. Otherwise, they would not have made us wait for so long before agreeing when we made our previous demands.”
It was clear that Iron Prison did not fully understand Chef Supreme’s meaning.
“Chef Supreme, according to what you just said, you just combined the resources from future trades into one. You said that the Freedom Federation doesn’t have sufficient resources. So won’t it be difficult for you to trade for a mountain of resources at once?”
Although this vexed Chef Supreme, he continued explaining, “It’s true that the Freedom Federation is lacking resources, but what they need more is time.”
