Chapter 50: Sorry, I Did That on Purpose

Laughing even more merrily, Yan Susu said, “I say, Su Luoqi…Miss Su. Before you set out to frame someone, could you please make sure that you brush up on your acting skills? You claim that you love that watch and that you wear it all the time, but there is no difference at all in the skin tone of your wrist. You must have done an excellent job of skincare maintenance.”

Immediately, everyone turned to look at Su Luoqi’s wrist. True enough, there were no marks at all.

Su Luoqi began to look uneasy.

“A watch is something that cannot be missed. If you have been wearing it every day, why have our colleagues not noticed it? Why did they look so surprised earlier?”

Everyone looked even more thoughtful.

They had been so focused on fighting against injustice, they had forgotten that Su Luoqi was a materialistic show-off. Wouldn’t she have wanted to flaunt her Omega watch, which she claimed was valued at more than one hundred dollars?

Su Luoqi looked even tenser now. She had not expected Yan Susu to maintain her composure even in the face of a wrongful accused.

“Also, if I were capable of stealing your watch simply by bumping into you, I would be very rich by now. Why would I need to come here and be wrongly accused?” Yan Susu laughed unreservedly.

“I didn’t accuse you of anything! I was just a little anxious about getting my watch back…”

“Yeah, right, just anxious, and you had every reason to point the finger at me for being a thief.” Then, Yan Susu swept her eyes grimly over everyone in the room, saying, “You are no longer naïve kids, but still you end up being used as practice targets. I’m just so embarrassed for you.”

Everyone looked a little guilty, especially the young girl who had stood up for Su Luoqi. Her face flushed crimson red, and she glared fiercely at Su Luoqi before returning to her desk, looking embarrassed.

“Well, Miss Su Luoqi, is there anything else you need? Do you realize that you are an eyesore standing here?”

Seeing Yan Susu’s sneer, Su Luoqi grunted and walked away angrily.

It was her fault for underestimating Yan Susu. Despite her frail disposition, she was actually very spunky. She had to think of a way to get Yan Susu kicked out!

Yan Susu continued to focus on her work, seemingly unaffected by what had just happened.

Tired out from work, she rose to get a drink of water.

Suddenly, Su Luoqi bumped into her and spilled coffee on her, turning her white skirt into an ugly mess.

“Oh dear, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to do that.”

Smiling calmly, Yan Susu said, “No problem.”

Then, she picked up a cup of hot water, walked over to Su Luoqi and threw it in her face, “Sorry, I did that on purpose.”

Then she turned and left.

Screaming in pain, Su Luoqi wailed, “Ahhh! Yan Susu, I’m going to kill you!”

Turning to look at her, Yan Susu laughed. “Pick on me again, and it won’t be just boiling water on your face.”

“You…!” Although she was livid, Su Luoqi did not have the guts to charge at her.

Picking up another glass of water, Yan Susu returned to her desk and continued working.

If Su Luoqi was smart, she would not want to cross paths with her again.

Fuming mad, Su Luoqi returned to her desk, wanting nothing than to destroy that eyesore, Yan Susu.

Then, eyeing the plan in her hand, Su Luoqi suddenly had an idea. She smiled wickedly.

Just you wait, Yan Susu. Soon, you’ll be totally humiliated!

“It’s time. Let’s go to our meeting.”

At the manager’s instruction, everyone picked up their stuff and headed for the conference room.

Yan Susu, however, was caught unawares.

Meeting? No one had told her about a meeting today…

The staff from the advertising department had just settled into their seats in the conference room when Lu Zhanxiu walked in. Sweeping his eyes around the room, he said calmly, “Let’s get started.”

Su Luoqi glanced at Yan Susu and smiled coldly. In a loud voice, she suggested, “We have a talented new person who has just joined us. She claims to have thought of a great theme for this season. We now invite Yan Susu, the leader of team 3, to share her idea with us.”

Everyone turned to look at Yan Susu.

Lu Zhanxiu also raised his head and looked expectantly at her, waiting for her to speak.
