Chapter 4 Glass Bead (2)
Natasi was in disbelief that Bellia would let her go so easily. She looked up at Bellia for a few times, wiped her tears, and then started leaving. The gray skirt wrapped around the girl’s slender and thin body made her look like a pitiful gray mouse.
Liu Yu expressionlessly watched as the gray figure slowly disappeared from her sight, and then she waited a few more minutes to make sure that no one else was around. Liu Yu got on all fours and crawled through the flame-colored bushes.
She crawled through the thick bushes for a good ten minutes before she finally found the hidden artificial cave.
Although it was described as a cave, it was in fact, a small hole.
The cave was not deep and it was pitch black inside. The faint dripping sound of water could be heard.
Liu Yu took a step forward and tripped over something on the ground.
It was something cold and soft…wait…it was something hard…
Liu Yu seemed to have realized something and stifled the excitement that was coming out of her mouth.
She turned over the “thing” she tripped over and found a match in the basket that Cinderella had given her. The match in this world had a jelly-like texture and after it received a gentle squeeze from Liu Yu, a faint blue flame lit up from it.
The darkness faded like receding water.
As the darkness receded, the “thing” was finally revealed to her. She could see the enchanting figure laying on the ground.
The young man had an elf-like appearance. She had never seen a more perfect existence in her life——never in the past and never again in the future.
The young man’s eyes were tightly closed. His face was deathly pale as he laid powerlessly in a pool of blood. Liu Yu’s eyes trailed down from his straight nose bridge to his thin lips and all the way down to his waist-length silver hair.
A description involuntarily emerged in her mind:
“Natasi had never seen a person more perfect than the person lying on the ground. She foolishly stared at the young man and was unable to part her gaze away from his beautiful face. The young man’s face was as fair as the holiest snow in Mount Olympus and his nose resembled the tallest peak in the Andes Mountains. But it was his long silver hair that attracted her attention. It seemed to flow down to his waist like the Milky Way under the light. It was like the entire galaxy was draped over his shoulders…Natasi fell in love with him in that instant. Whether it was a prince or a duke, everyone becomes nothing standing before him.”
He was the most beautiful person in this world. His beauty alone was like opium.
Liu Yu was not a naive little girl who had never seen a handsome guy in the world, but she was still dazed by his rare beauty for a moment.
She forced herself to take her eyes off him and started pondering.
Why was he still unconscious?
In the novel, it stated that he woke up as soon as Cinderella came.
The young man remained unconscious as he laid there motionlessly. His face was deathly pale due to excessive blood loss.
Liu Yu noticed that while one of his palms was spread open with nothing inside it, his other hand was balled into a tight fist.
She needed to see whether he was holding a golden iris crest in his fist. If he was, then she needed to take it from him before he woke up.
The young man’s eyelids twitched, he was about to wake up.
“Oh my goodness! How could this be…” Liu Yu suddenly screamed. She threw herself over him and hit his arm with precision, “A-are you…are you okay?”
The young man groaned and his eyes blinked open.
Dried brown blood was stained around his pale eyelids. The two holes that were supposed to contain his eyes were empty as he faced Liu Yu. It was a terrifying and scary scene, but for some reason, he still appeared gorgeously beautiful.
Liu Yu’s mind started to wander, but she smacked herself and refocused. She quickly stood up and acted as if she didn’t know what to do. Then, her leg had gone soft and she “accidentally” fell down directly on his fist this time.
His hand shot open.
The young man’s face turned even whiter as if he was about to accidentally pass away again.
“I’m sorry. I’m so sorry…”
She stood up and straightened her clothes. When she lifted her skirt, a round glass bead rolled out from under her skirt.
The color of the crystal bead was pure and more radiant than the purest diamond she had ever seen. Liu Yu noticed that when the bead rolled over in the pool of blood on the ground, the bead wasn’t stained with the blood. It seemed as if the bead had a thin protective film around it that prevented it from being stained with dirt or other filthy things.
There was no golden iris.
But what appeared, was a glass bead.
