Chapter 5 Glass Bead (3)
Liu Yu picked up the bead thoughtfully. The freezing coldness from the bead traveled from her finger all the way to her heart.
She suddenly recalled that there was indeed such a bead in the novel, but the bead only made its appearance in the latter half of the book. Natasi revised her hometown and went to the artificial cave where she rescued Gaia. Inside the cave, she found this glass bead.
That’s right! The glass bead contained the God of Light’s memory!
“It’s okay.”
The young man supported himself using the ground and tried to sit up.
The rustling sound of his clothes echoed in the cave, snapping Liu Yu back to reality. She recalled her real reason for coming and stumbled over to him.
“I’m sorry. I’m so rude…are you alright?”
The young girl’s gentle voice was full of overwhelming panic and nervousness.
She cried out in alarm, “Bless the God of Light who watches over us. Who could be so ruthless to treat you like this…your eyes…”
She seemed to be unable to continue speaking and began sobbing softly.
Small droplets of hot tears rolled down from her cheeks and fell on the young man. He was still half supporting himself when the faint scent of roses hit his nose.
“Who are you?” the young man asked.
An elegant, graceful, and unique voice sounded in Liu Yu’s ear. His voice was more beautiful than a wandering poet’s voice.
She stopped sobbing.
“Bellia. My name is Bellia.”
“Bellia?”
“Yes, what is your name?”
“Gaia.” The young man fell silent for a while before he said, “Bellia, did you save me?”
“Yes, I saved you.”
No, it was you who saved yourself, Liu Yu said in her heart.
The God of Light will not treat himself badly. The bodies he made for himself are much stronger than ordinary humans. If other people had experienced what Gaia had experienced, then he or she would’ve gone to heaven already.
Seeing that he still wanted to speak, Liu Yu put a finger in front of his mouth and hushed him.
“Don’t talk, I will take you to see a doctor.”
Gaia listened to her and stopped speaking.
Liu Yu picked up the basket in one hand and used her other hand to support Gaia. The young man’s body leaned heavily on her.
“Lower your head.”
When they came out from the cave, Liu Yu couldn’t help but look back. She had secretly put the glass bead in her pocket.
She knew that she had stolen the memory of the God of Light.
But who would know and who would care?
The later Gaia restores his memory, the better it will be for her.
“Have you seen…a bead?” the young man asked suddenly.
“A bead?” Liu Yu asked innocently, “What kind of bead?”
“…I can’t remember.”
The young man’s voice was full of confusion and sorrow, “I feel like the bead is very important to me.”
“I didn’t see it.”

Sauron College was the best aristocratic college in the entire city of Sauron. In addition to having the most qualified teachers, the college guards are all retired soldiers of the Royal Guard.
They have eyes like that of a falcon and the nose of a bloodhound.
However, these soldiers would laze around most of the time. They rather idle around than accidentally provoking the children from noble families.
After all, the guards were still civilians and if they anger one of these noble children, then they would be sent to the city-state prison and be imprisoned there for a week.
Therefore, when Liu Yu revealed her beautiful face before she got on the Fergus family’s carriage. The fierce-looking guard at the gate didn’t even yell at her to stop. The guards allowed her to leave without checking inside the carriage.
“S-shouldn’t we stop the carriage?”
The new guard’s face turned red as he stared blankly at the carriage that was quickly disappearing from their view?”
“Block? Why would we block the carriage?”
“According to the school regulations, the students are forbidden to leave the school ground during class…”
