Chapter 27: Changing into a Door God
In the library, countless colorful clouds floated in the sky. They all contained the power of magic. The God of Death looked at everything in front of him and said in surprise, “Is this the work of this person? As expected of a teacher!”
The magnificent library was hidden on the coastline like a dream.
At this moment, Flanders had already changed into a white tuxedo and was walking in the library.
Flanders was fine, but Thanatos, who was following behind, was completely shocked by what he saw.
Was this a supreme expert? Was this the place where the supreme expert went into seclusion?
It was too magnificent. One tall building after another rose from the ground.
The spring breeze blew, the breeze was gentle, and the entire space was filled with magical power. It was almost tangible here.
Numerous waves were formed on the sea and numerous skyscrapers were built along the coast, each of them exquisite and elegant. They each had a distant aura and were quiet and natural.
When they connected, they actually transformed into an enormous array. With just a glance, one had no choice but to turn around to look at it.
Just the thought of his power made Thanatos tremble in fear.
As they strolled leisurely in the courtyard, multicolored light rose in the distance and clouds gathered. It was like a dream or illusion, as if they were in a fairyland.
Even the limestone slabs on the ground were engraved with ancient patterns, carrying the aura of time, ancient and vast.
The altar of the Nether Realm was only so-so.
Even the Nether Realm might not necessarily be so well-equipped with cultivation grounds.
Thanatos’ eyes sparkled with increasing respect. He followed closely behind Flanders, not even daring to breathe.
Finally, Flanders led Thanatos to a cultivation ground. It was a cultivation ground that the system had just opened. Flanders took out the keys to the cultivation ground and tossed them to Thanatos.
“This is the key to the cultivation ground. With this key, you will be able to use the many cultivation magical artifacts in the cultivation ground.”
Flanders spoke slowly and calmly.
This matter had always been handled by Angel, the Elven Queen.
After the library was disbanded, it could only be done by Flanders himself. Now that there was someone willing to guard the library, he could take his place.
The key was especially exquisite and cool to the touch. There were many intricate carvings on it, as if it contained a trace of power of faith too.
To put it bluntly, if this key was placed outside, it would cause a bloodbath.
God of Death received it respectfully. “Thank you, Teacher.”
Flanders waved his hand and casually said, “Even though you’re only a gatekeeper, there isn’t much for you to do. I won’t be too reserved with you. Aside from a few places that you aren’t allowed to go to in the academy, you can use everything else.”
“Remember, do not enter the forbidden areas. There will be hints on this key. Do not make a mistake.”
Flanders spoke lightly, his words laced with authority. It was a far cry from his previously idle image on the beach.
However, the God of Death did not look surprised at all. His heart was filled with admiration.
He accepted the order even more respectfully. “Alright, Teacher. I’ll remember.”
“Teacher, how should I learn more advanced magic power?”
Such an absolute expert would probably be able to allow him to advance by leaps and bounds with just a casual guidance. The little fox must have cultivated here back then, causing her strength to soar.
“The path of learning is a path of fighting with heaven.”
“There are so many paths in the world. Some walk the Great Path of Light, some take a narrow winding trail, and some walk a dark path where you can’t see the end…”
“Everyone’s path is different.”
Flanders was walking on a trail, and everywhere he went, there were flowers fighting for attention.
God of Death followed closely behind, not daring to miss a single word that Flanders said.
“My path here may not really be suitable for you.”
“Don’t be too eager. Calm down and slowly understand your path of learning.”
Flanders turned and looked at Thanatos, his eyes bright as if thousands of stars were brewing and flashing in the sky.
“You have to learn to examine yourself and constantly reflect on yourself. Just like how the stars in this world are ever-changing, you need to find your own path.”
“When you find your own path, when you find your original heart, your path of learning will become clear.”
“When that time comes, you can come to me for guidance.”
Flanders said slowly, and his figure dissipated like rain.
On the other hand, the God of Death’s face was full of admiration. It was as if he had been enlightened, and his eyes flashed with enlightenment.
As expected of a supreme expert, as expected of Teacher Flanders. His words were profound and unfathomable, and every single one of his words was the epitome of truth. In merely a few short sentences, he’d caused the numerous questions the Death God had in his heart to gradually disperse.
His calmness as an elementary Archmage actually showed signs of loosening. He felt that he had touched the threshold of an intermediate Archmage.
“Look for yourself, examine yourself, look for your original heart.”
“Thank you for your teachings, Teacher. I understand more now.”
Thanatos was extremely excited.
Flanders didn’t know how to teach him, and he was just making things up. However, he put on an act in front of Thanatos and continued to live his life as a slacker, basking in the sun and eating roasted meat.
“Oh yes, remember to throw away that pile of trash on the east side of the library and trim the lawn on the west side.” An ethereal voice came from the distant beach.
“Yes, I understand, Teacher Flanders.” Thanatos’ loud reply was extremely respectful.
As expected of Teacher Flanders. Just a few words from him had enlightened him. With such a teacher and such a powerful backer, wouldn’t the day he succeeded be just around the corner?
Without another word, God of Death jumped up in excitement and turned to throw the trash and mow the lawn.
After cleaning up the trash, Thanatos took the key and looked around the library.
Every time he saw a library building, his expression would become even more excited, because these buildings were too precious.
God of Death was someone who had seen many big scenes. Even Hades might not be able to build one or two of these buildings.
And now, there were more than tens of thousands of buildings here.
All the cultivation rooms and libraries were filled with books, causing Thanatos to drool.
However, even though the buildings in the library were all gorgeous and dazzling, even after looking at it for a long time, Thanatos still couldn’t find the true place of inheritance cultivation.
That must be the most important place. He must be unqualified.
Thanatos speculated.
When Thanatos arrived at the back of the library.
“Library Pavilion?”
Death God was stunned for a moment before narrowing his eyes.
If he didn’t remember wrongly, that little fox seemed to be talking about the Library Pavilion when he chased after the little fox.
Could it be this room?
He took a deep breath, grabbed the key, and walked in without any hesitation.
