Chapter 57: An Individual’s Fate
“Ha!”
The sound of demonic laughter stopped immediately, and Blackie suddenly realized that it was exposed. At that moment, Blackie froze and could only stare forward with its black beady eyes. No one could tell if Blackie was frightened, but everyone could clearly feel that Blackie was also dumbfounded as it kept looking at everyone’s flabbergasted expressions.
“This crow can talk?” Black Wind stared in amazement at the stiff crow.
Tang Ning was the first to regain her focus. After hearing Black Wind’s words, she immediately grabbed onto Blackie and told Mo Ye, who was sizing her up beside her. “I knew that this bird won’t be able to endure it till for long, but who knew that it would expose itself for being conceited.”
Mo Ye raised his brows and remained silent.
“Actually, my little Blackie is a half-breed crow and half parrot. That’s why it often could not resist the urge to mimic and speak what it has heard.” Tang Ning smiled as she continued. “As you all can see, it is not a normal crow. It is a spiritual animal that has intelligence.”
“But this crow is clean and black, not a single messy feather can be found. It doesn’t look like…” Black Wind was still speaking, but he was interrupted.
“Enough. Prepare a guest room for him.” Mo Ye spoke and went into the mansion, no longer looking at the crow and the young man.
The opportunity that emerged along with the strange phenomenon in the forest. If Mo Ye guessed it right, then the one who obtained the treasure should be the little monk. Since he knew that it was Tang Ning, it would be pointless to dig further. After all, everybody had their own fate, Tang Ning was also lucky to be able to obtain the treasure.
Without any opportunities and luck on his side, how could a small young man like him be capable of killing that Golden Core cultivator? How would he withstand the opponent’s strong aura and coercion? Some things can be understood without speaking out loud.
“Staying?” Looking at his Master who had already gone in, Black Wind was stunned and could not react in time. Shouldn’t this little monk be thrown into the underground dungeon?
“Yes, you heard it right. I am your Master’s guest. Pardon me for the next few days.” Tang Ning smiled as she looked at Black Wind.
Looking at this, Black Wind ordered a servant to bring Tang Ning to the guest room before heading in his Master’s direction. He wanted to know what was going on. It couldn’t be that his Master had forgotten how he was tricked by the little monk previous time!
While following the servant to the guest room, Tang Ning was also casually sizing up the mansion. She realized that there were no maids in this mansion. From guards to servants, everyone in this mansion was a male.
Recalling Mo Ye’s luck and fate, she suddenly understood. With such destiny, it would already be a miracle if Mo Ye could survive past the age of 30. Talking about marriage and having children would be too far-fetched for him.
In the evening, Black Wing came to the guest room and shouted, “Little monk, follow me! Master wishes to see you.”
Tang Ning let out a burp while coming out. She only told the servant to get her some food, but she didn’t expect the food to be so delicious, and so she ended up overeating accidentally.
Tang Ning shot a glance and Black Wind before saying, “Let’s go!.” As soon as her words fell, she took the lead and started walking ahead of Black Wind.
Black Wind weirdly looked at the little monk who still had oil on his mouth. Recalling what the little monk had said last time, Black Wind couldn’t help but ask, “Little monk, the last time we met, you said that the ordeal that my Master would have to face when he turns 30 can be resolved, is that true? If so, how?”
“Heaven’s design cannot be revealed.” Tang Ning replied leisurely.
