Chapter 464: Chapter 464: Is there a large shopping mall nearby?
“Yes, Mr. Li, I’ve got it,” Gu Ming regained his composure, and his anxious heart also settled down.
Miss Rong is indeed impressive.
As expected, listening to Miss Rong’s advice is correct.
“Li Shengxiao, have you not had lunch yet?” Rong Yan intervened at this time.
It’s now half-past three in the afternoon, and he looks as if he’s been too busy to even eat.
The handsome man’s face faintly revealed signs of exhaustion, and just then, a company executive hurried out, running up to the three of them and quietly reporting something to the towering man.
Li Shengxiao pinched the bridge of his nose and said to Rong Yan, “I still have some unfinished business, why don’t you go to the hotel with Assistant Gu and wait for me.”
“But you…” She wanted to say he hadn’t eaten all day and his stomach wouldn’t take it. But meeting the eyes of the executives waiting for him to hold a meeting, the words that reached her lips changed to, “Alright, I’ll wait for you at the hotel.”
Seemingly noticing the concern in her eyes, Shengxiao’s expression softened slightly, and he said quietly, “I’ll finish up as quickly as possible and come find you.”
“Okay.”
Rong Yan watched the man’s upright figure disappear before turning to Gu Ming, “Assistant Gu, let’s go.”
“Are we going back to the hotel now?” Gu Ming let out a sigh of relief as he followed her.
He had wanted Miss Rong to persuade their BOSS not to overwork himself, but didn’t want her, unlike some willful young girls, to whine regardless of the circumstances, insisting on dragging the CEO away whether it’s urgent or not.
Just now, he had even feared that Miss Rong would not let the CEO get on with his work, which would have given him a headache, making him regret informing her about it.
After all, the issue that arose in Lin City, although not significant, was quite problematic. Many decisions needed the CEO’s personal attention; otherwise, he wouldn’t have come to Lin City unannounced.
Luckily, Miss Rong didn’t disappoint him.
“Let’s not go to the hotel first,” Rong Yan said, unaware of his thoughts and the relief he had just experienced. She took out her phone, turned to him, and asked, “Assistant Gu, do you know of any big malls nearby? A fresh food supermarket will do, too.”
Large malls, fresh food supermarkets?
Gu Ming was momentarily puzzled, “Miss Rong, what do you need from a mall or supermarket? Are you buying fruit?”
“Mr. Li’s hotel suite should already have fresh fruit prepared. Miss Rong, you can check if there is what you want, and if not, you can ask the room service to prepare it again.”
Every time Li Shengxiao stayed at a hotel, it was always a five-star presidential suite. The exorbitant price, of course, meant top-tier service, and necessities like fruit didn’t require personal shopping.
Rong Yan’s beautiful eyes shone brightly, her voice was full of smiles as she said, “Not for fruit. I want to buy some ingredients to cook a simple meal to bring over. Li Shengxiao probably hasn’t had lunch yet, and now it’s half-past three. Looking at him, he likely won’t be finished with work until nine or ten tonight. He can’t possibly wait until then to eat; his stomach won’t handle it.”
“If I order takeout for him, he probably won’t eat it. The takeout dishes are too spicy, and he shouldn’t be eating food that is too salty or rich in flavor right now, so I’ll buy the ingredients and prepare the food at the hotel and take it to him later.”
She spoke with seriousness, not as if this were a whim. Gu Ming’s impression of Rong Yan suddenly soared by quite a few percentage points, and he quickly said, “If Miss Rong is looking for a mall, there’s one nearby. I remember they have a fresh section where you should be able to find what you want to buy. Would you like to have a look?”
