550 Recalling the Past
Su Wan looked at Jiang Xin coldly, not moved by her gaze at all. Now that Jiang Xin was the fish and she was the chopping block, Jiang Xin was destined to lose. She gave one of the bodyguards a look, and the bodyguard immediately went forward to remove the rag in Jiang Xin’s mouth.
“Pfft!” The moment the rag was removed, Jiang Xin spat to the side in disgust.
Su Wan stared at Jiang Xin and didn’t say anything, as if she was waiting for Jiang Xin to speak. It was as if she had returned to the first time the two of them met at the cafe.
Unfortunately, things were different now.
!!
Jiang Xin’s eyes were cold and her mouth felt dry, but at this moment, she couldn’t care less. “Su Wan, kidnapping someone is illegal! Do you believe that I’ll call the police immediately once I get out?!”
Su Wan was not afraid when she heard this. Instead, she found it funny. “Jiang Xin, people who can’t hold it in will never succeed, and you’ll never understand this.”
“What do you mean?” Jiang Xin didn’t think that there was anything wrong with what she said, but she couldn’t understand Su Wan anymore.
“Since you know that kidnapping someone is illegal, why didn’t you think of this when you kidnapped Hao Hao?” Su Wan sneered.
People who had done all kinds of bad things would never think about their own problems and would only blindly attribute their mistakes to others. Such people would only jump violently when it affected their own interests, just like Jiang Xin at this moment. Su Wan really looked down on her.
To think that Jiang Xin even bragged about her education and family background in front of her back then. She really didn’t know where Jiang Xin got her sense of superiority from.
“What kidnapping? I didn’t do it! My assistant did it behind my back. I didn’t know about this at all!” Jiang Xin immediately denied it and even pushed all the blame onto Lin Xi.
Today, Lin Xi didn’t come. Even if she did, Lin Xi would definitely take the initiative to shoulder all of this, because she believed that Lin Xi wouldn’t betray her.
Jing Chen couldn’t help but say, “Jiang Xin, if you admit that you did everything before, we’ll consider applying for a reduction of your sentence for you, but if you continue to be stubborn, don’t blame us for not thinking about our old relationship.”
Jiang Xin did not change herself because of Jing Chen’s words. Instead, she looked at Jing Chen in disbelief. “Jing Chen, what are you talking about? I said that I didn’t do it. Do you have to suspect me? What do you want me to do to make you believe me?!”
Jing Chen frowned. “If you dare to say this to your conscience, I’ll believe you. But not only do you not dare, you even forged evidence. I can’t believe you. Jiang Xin, you’ve let Old Master Jiang down.”
When Jiang Xin heard Jing Chen mention Grandpa, she became agitated and shouted, “Don’t mention Grandpa! You said that I let Grandpa down, but what about you? What did you promise my grandfather? You said that you wanted to treat me as your sister and be the person behind me for the rest of your life. Did you fulfill it?”
This was a recount of the past. Jing Chen had already told Jiang Xin at the Su Corporation’s press conference that day. He really did not want to explain it a second time.
Jing Chen pursed his lips and frowned as he glanced at Jiang Xin, feeling a chill in his heart.
There was a moment of silence. Su Wan could tell that Jing Chen was worried. She continued the conversation between the two of them and said, “Jiang Xin, Jing Chen has really fulfilled it. He treats you as his sister and often takes care of you, but what about you? You can’t let go of those feelings that you shouldn’t have. In the end, you crossed the line.”m
“Shut up!” Su Wan’s explanation only made Jiang Xin give a cold look and shout, “What do you know? You haven’t been in Jing Chen’s life for the past four years. You’re not worthy of saying these things!”
“Do you know what kind of life he lived during that period of time? Auntie said that he couldn’t sleep all night and would go to your cemetery to daydream when he had nothing to do. He even often drank to drown his sorrows. He was just short of living the life of a walking corpse. Have you understood all of this? Have you cared about him?”
“You don’t know, Su Wan. You never knew. Because you had your own family overseas, you abandoned Jing Chen alone in the country. My heart aches every time I hear it! So you shouldn’t have come back!”
Jiang Xin choked a few times as she roared, her eyes red.
