Wind Chen couldn’t believe what these two were saying and was on the verge of flaring up.
Queena Ye realized that things were getting out of hand, so she quickly said, “It has nothing to do with Wind, and there’s no way he would hit me. Alright, alright, I’ll say what really happened.”
She proceeded to briefly tell them how she had been drugged by Chad Wang.
But of course, she didn’t mention what happened at Lola Chinn’s clinic.
“That Chad Wang is asking to get killed! I’m going to call the police right now! A scoundrel like him ought to be punished severely!” Zander Ye looked furious.
“You can’t call the police.” Wind Chen stopped Zander Ye.
“Move aside. I must call the police.” Zander Ye was insistent.
“Zander Ye, do you have any brains at all?” Wind Chen slapped the phone out of Zander Ye’s hands and continued, “If this matter accidentally goes public, how do you expect Queena to show herself in public and to manage the company? How are you going to stop rumors and gossip that would arise from this incident?”
“It’s true that we shouldn’t call the police. At least she’s fine. We can take our time to deal with that Chad Wang,” said Fae Lee very seriously.
