Chapter 35: Eight Treasure Chests
The moment the cabin door opened, Bick was rushed in by the seawater. Only when the air in the cabin was completely emptied did Bick see everything clearly.
On both sides of the cabin, there were eight metal chests neatly placed.
Bick came to the front of one of the metal chests and used the universal tool hammer to smash the lock.
With a bang, the treasure chest opened.
[You have opened the metal treasure chest!]
[You have obtained magnet x20!]
“Magnet? Isn’t this the material to make a low-speed engine?”
“And, it actually gave 20 of them in one go!”
“I’m rich this time!”
Bick excitedly stuffed the 20 magnets into his wooden backpack and then began to destroy the other seven treasure chests violently.
[You have obtained magnet x20!]
[You have obtained metal ore x20!]
[You have obtained metal ore x20!]
[You have obtained mana crystal x20!]
[You have obtained mana crystal x20!]
[You have obtained holy light crystal x20!]
[You have obtained holy light crystal x20!]
After opening eight metal treasure chests, Bick obtained 40 magnets, metal ore, mana crystal, and holy light crystal each.
The abundance of these materials was beyond Bick’s imagination.
Mana crystals, in particular, had always been a scarce resource for Bick, but he had never expected that there would be so many of them that he could not use them up.
As for holy light crystals, he did not know what they were for, but he guessed that they were even rarer materials.
Bick put these things into his wooden backpack and prepared to leave the sunken ship.
As he swam along the route he came from, he unexpectedly found a material warehouse that he had overlooked.
This was supposed to be a place to store food, but because of the serious leakage, most of the food had already rotted away. Only a few bottles of rum remained undamaged, and he stuffed them into his backpack.
This time he really couldn’t carry anything else on his body.
He swayed his body and swam up to the surface of the sea. It was already dusk when he lifted his head.
When Einstein saw Bick got on the raft, he cried out excitedly a few times. However, the next moment, he flapped his wings and landed directly at the place where the fishing net was set up. There was also a tone of grievance in his cries.
Bick smiled slightly and said to Einstein, “I accidentally starved you for an entire day. I will pull up the net and make grilled fish for you!”
“Ou ou ou! Ou ou ou!”
Upon hearing that Bick was going to grill fish for him, Einstein was instantly excited. He jumped up and down happily, and his cries became much more cheerful.
“You’re really a glutton!”
Bick ridiculed and began to pull the net back.
Once the fishing net was pulled up, he saw a few sea fish and a few kelps.
After processing these ingredients, Bick began grilling. Taking advantage of the free time, he opened the God’s domain slate and began to examine the manufacturing principles of the low-speed engine.
[Low-speed engine: Battery (0/2), metal wire (0/6), mechanical module (2/2), magnet (2/2), metal sheet (4/4)]
“It seems that I only need to manufacture the battery and metal wire.”
Batteries and metal wires could be made from existing materials. After Bick made these two things, he filled them into the schematic diagram.
The next moment, he started to make a low-speed engine.
As Bick started manufacturing, a heavy motor appeared on the floor. The entire low-speed engine shone with a metallic luster. After activating it, it started to rotate slowly. The speed was indeed slow, however, this could save a large portion of manpower!
However, just having a low-speed engine did not seem to be of any use.
Bick began to look at the God’s domain slate again. Very quickly, he found the manufacturing principle of the raft propeller.
[Raft propeller: Low-speed engine (1/1), mechanical module (5/5), propeller (0/1), wooden board (4/4), metal sheet (4/4), iron nail (4/4)]
[Level: normal]
[Explanation: A reasonably designed propeller with limited speed, but it can be used in combination. ]
Looking at the various materials required, Bick sighed, “This is really a big project!”
He thought that he had obtained enough mechanical modules, but he did not expect to use five at once to build a raft propeller.
If he were to build more complicated equipment, he was afraid that his inventory would not be enough.
Although he complained in his heart, Bick did not hesitate to start building.
First was the propeller. This was easy to do. All he needed was metal plates, wooden boards, and iron nails. In less than ten seconds, Bick had built it.
Next, it was time to build the raft propeller.
Bick went to the end of the raft and chose to build it directly behind the raft.
After more than ten seconds, a solid wooden base appeared. Next, it was the low-speed engine and the propeller connected to the engine.
The propeller was connected with a long metal rod and directly dipped into the water. Although it looked a little rough, its practicality was unquestionable.
Bick tried to start the raft propeller.
Buzz, buzz, buzz…
The low-speed engine drove the raft propeller and started to rotate at a slow speed. Although the speed was not fast, Bick could clearly feel that the raft was slowly accelerating.
After about a minute, the speed reached its limit. It was about the same speed as when he was using the wooden paddle to paddle the raft. It was much slower than using the magic alloy paddle.
However, he did not need to use his strength to paddle this thing!
“Ou ou?”
Seeing that Bick had installed a strange thing at the end of the raft and the raft was moving on its own, Einstein jumped over in puzzlement.
“How is it? Isn’t it very advanced?”
“Ou ou ou! Ou ou ou ou!”
Einstein nodded and stared at the propeller in the water in a daze. However, Bick had already come to the side of the perfect barbecue rack, he jokingly greeted, “The delicious grilled sea fish is ready. Einstein, if you don’t come over, I will eat them all.”
Hearing this, Einstein quickly flapped his wings and flew over.
Bick placed the two grilled sea fish into two wooden bowls and began to enjoy dinner with Einstein.
A delicious grilled sea fish was quickly eaten. Bick rubbed his stomach in satisfaction and took two more grilled sea fish. Just as he was about to enjoy them, he looked up and could not help but be slightly stunned.
“F*ck? It’s already ripe?”
On top of Bick’s head, there were five bunches of yellow and orange bananas on a towering banana tree.
He remembered that the last time he looked at the banana tree, there were only five bunches of green bananas on it. And each banana was only the size of a finger.
“Great! There will be fruit to eat today!”
Bick did not care about the grilled fish in front of him. Under Einstein’s puzzled gaze, he actually rushed directly to the large-scale farm.
Only then did Einstein realize that the bananas on the banana tree had actually ripened.
