Chapter 10
After school the teachers were all packing their bags and getting ready to leave in the office. At that time Teacher Dong found herself surrounded by her colleagues.
The English teacher first broke the silence. “Xiao Dong, what’s going on with Chu Feng today?”
“What?” Asked a confused Teacher Dong as she stopped packing her things.
The English teacher enthusiastically told her, “He didn’t sleep in my class today and instead listened to me very carefully. I just couldn’t get used to it.”
The History teacher quipped from the side, “ He didn’t sleep in my class today either and I thought that I was seeing things or something.”
The Chinese teacher who was picking up a paper from the side smiled. “He didn’t sleep in my class either but was listening very attentively. I was a little surprised myself too.”
Teacher Dong had thought they would be complaining about something and didn’t expect that Chu Feng would get praised by all the teachers.
“But Xiao Dong how did you let Chu Feng sit with Rong Yun?” The Englsh teacher asked curiously.
“I wanted Rong Yun to help Chu Feng study. It’s already his third year and if he doesn’t struggle this year then he will regret it for a lifetime.” She didn’t explain that Chu Feng was the one who asked for this since she knew that no one would be willing to believe her even if she said so.
“This won’t affect the studies of Rong Yun?” The history teacher asked worriedly.
“I will keep an eye on his performance. If it declines due to Chu Feng then I will naturally change their seats to the previous positions.” If she let Rong Yun suffer because of Chu Feng she would be too biased.
“Okay, let’s wait and watch. If Chu Feng can make progress without delaying Rong Yun then that is naturally for the best.” The English teacher smiled.
After dinner Chu Feng didn’t let Rong Yun go to the library to study since he still has to pay attention to rest so it doesn’t matter if he just studies in the room.
After coming to the room Chu Feng had Rong Yun go to take a bath and also took one himself later. Anyway, they wouldn’t be leaving the room so they could just go to bed directly after studying.
After Rong Yun came out of the bathroom after his shower he saw a laptop on his desk.
The school allowed students to bring their laptops to school but most parents don’t really buy them for the students as they don’t feel they are important for the student’s studies.
“Come here.” Said Chu Feng who was sitting on the chair.
Rong Yun walked to him and Chu Feng caught his hands in his own. “This is for you. Since you like to write then just use this. It will save you the trouble of typing it all over again. You might not be used to typing everything at first but you’ll get used to it over time.”
When Chu Feng had worked as an actor he had met a lot of screenwriters and had heard them talk about their experiences with the computers. He knew now that they had some difficulties at first but later it was really convenient for them to use the laptops.
“No, you yourself you it mostly. I can’t take it. I can just use the one in the computer lab or the net cafe if I need to. “ This was Chu Feng’s so he obviously bought it since he needed it. Also it was too expensive so what if he broke it?
“Are you taking me as an outsider?” Chu Feng asked Rong Yun in a stern voice.
“No, that’s not it.”
Chu Feng laughed gently and pulled Rong Yun even closer by wrapping one of his arms around Rong Yun’s waist. “I want to stop using the internet so I’m giving it to you for using it. I’ll study better if I don’t get distracted by it. Also the computers in lab stop working from time to time. What if your data gets lost?”
“That’s not a big deal.” Rong Yun had already encountered this once or twice and it wasn’t a big deal really.
“Be good. There are too many people in the computer lab and can it compare to doing things in the comfort of your own room? You can just write here without getting distracted.” Chu Feng tried to coax him like a child. The internet in the lab is provided by the school is just enough to open a few websites but if you want to play a video or play games it doesn’t work that well. Also it stops working during specific hours to stop students from wasting too much time.
Rong Yun looked at the laptop on the desk which had a surface smooth enough to reflect its surroundings.
“Alright but tell me when you want to use it.” Rong Yun finally compromised since he could really write in the room without distractions as Chu Feng had said.
“I won’t need it. You supervise me. If I need to get any information then you can get it for me.” Chu Feng saw that Rong Yun agreed and his smile deepened.
“You can look it up yourself it’s not a big deal.” Rong Yun said thinking that for a person who uses the internet daily, to stop using it suddenly must be uncomfortable.
Chu Feng shook his head and said to Rong Yun very seriously. “Rong Yun, I want to test for A university with you but my previous grades aren’t good. I’m going to need to work harder so breaking the habit of using the internet is important.”
