Chapter 175: Chapter 175 Strange Person
This scene left everyone in awe, as no one had seen such a battle in the sky even after Ascension.
Lin Shen now resembled a flying demon, throwing the Flying Bull Knight Regiment into chaos. Although the death toll wasn’t high, the deterrent power was overwhelming.
Crystal Base Ultra-Burn Warriors had to ride Flying Bulls to battle in the sky, but Lin Shen darted about, his movement techniques as elusive as a ghost and his lance thrusts as unpredictable as a devil’s machinations.
Lin Shen wasn’t afraid of being seen using Stairway to Heaven; his only concern was the half-human, half-iron monster, and the only ones who had seen him use it were Xu Tiange and Tu Xiaodao.
Xu Tiange wouldn’t speak of it, and Tu Xiaodao, being overseas, was even less likely to pass the information to the monster. That’s why Lin Shen could act so recklessly.
As for Stepping on the Immortal Court, that wasn’t a worry either. Lin Shen had altered it beyond recognition, such that even its creator would struggle to identify it.
Goddess Consort Bai, staring blankly at Lin Shen in the sky, who seemed like a god descending from heaven, muttered in disbelief, “Can practicing Evolution Theory make one so strong?”
“Interesting… This is truly too interesting…” Ouyang Yudu, upon witnessing the scene, had eyes that were originally clear now filled with a fervent glow.
Ouyang Yudu, whose strength had already been severely depleted, somehow erupted with a terrifying force and dashed down Sky Star Slope. Like a monster, he teleported in front of a red-robed Ultra-Burn Warrior, plunged his hands into the warrior’s chest, and tore the man’s body, along with his Battle Clothes and armor, in two, letting the blood drench him.
“This is fantastic… Truly fantastic…” Bathed in blood, Ouyang Yudu’s body shook, and a smile he couldn’t suppress grew on his face, his mutterings growing louder until they turned into unchecked, wild laughter, “This is truly fantastic…”
Ouyang Yudu, frenzied like a monster, charged into the Ultra-Burning Corps. No longer using any weapons nor showing any technique, he charged like a wild beast, his hands tearing apart one Ultra-Burn Warrior after another, including several in red robes.
“Not good… Yudu is having an episode again…” Ouyang Juemiao’s face filled with worry.
Inside God’s Love Base, many of the Ouyang Family watched the footage of Ouyang Yudu with faces thick with concern; some even had fear and disgust in their eyes.
But aside from the Ouyang Family, few were paying attention to Ouyang Yudu now.
Because in the sky, a massive explosion sounded, nearly deafening everyone, and the shockwave spread like rings on water.
The epicenter of the shockwave was on the back of the Evil Dragon, where most eyes were drawn. They saw a figure falling from the dragon’s back to the ground.
Boom!
The mighty figure crashed hard onto the peak of Horseshoe Mountain. The already battered armor suffered severe deformation from the fall, and the bloody body within spewed out blood.
“It’s the Ultra-Burning Corps’ commander… He’s dead…”
For a moment, the whole world seemed to pause as the Ultra-Burning Corps, in the midst of their frenzied charge, stopped their attack, disbelief in their eyes.
The next second, both the Ultra-Burn Warriors on Sky Star Slope and the Flying Bull Knights in the sky retreated like the tide.
The Evil Dragon fell from the sky and landed heavily on the mountaintop, stirring up a cloud of dust. Atop the dragon’s head stood the dazzling figure of the dragon hunter, Jiweis.
“We won… The Ultra-Burning Corps has been repelled…” The Mutators on the battlefield seemed unable to believe it at first.
Once they came to their senses, they let out heart-wrenching cries, the shouts of the living who had climbed back from hell.
Wei Wufu did not join in the cheers. His gaze sharp as lightning, he focused on Ouyang Yudu on Sky Star Slope, who was laughing wildly like a fierce Evil Ghost.
As Ouyang Yudu frantically chased the retreating Ultra-Burn Warriors, Wei Wufu suddenly charged at him, wrapping one arm around Ouyang Yudu’s neck from behind and grabbing his waist with the other arm while his legs entwined Ouyang Yudu’s feet.
Both men fell together, with Wei Wufu firmly locking him in place.
Crack!
Ouyang Yudu, nearly driven to madness, struggled in vain, then opened his mouth to reveal his ghastly white teeth and bit down on Wei Wufu’s arm.
His teeth actually shattered some of the carapace on Wei Wufu’s arm, piercing into flesh and skin, and blood immediately flowed down from the corners of Ouyang Yudu’s mouth.
Wei Wufu had no intention of letting go of Ouyang Yudu and held onto him tightly.
Gradually, the madness in Ouyang Yudu’s eyes faded considerably, and the teeth clamped on Wei Wufu’s arm slowly loosened.
“I… I’m alright now…” Hearing Ouyang Yudu’s voice, Wei Wufu finally released his arm and slowly sat up.
Ouyang Yudu flipped over to lie on the ground without any intention of getting up, with Wei Wufu’s blood still on the corner of his mouth, his face no longer mad but instead wearing an almost blissfully satisfied smile.
Lying on the blood-streaked Sky Star Slope looking up at the sky, his beautiful eyes reflecting the blue sky and the sun, Ouyang Yudu seemed to be enjoying the lovely scene, taking his time before he slowly closed his eyes.
“It turns out I’m not the only strange person in this world,” Ouyang Yudu murmured with his eyes closed.
The Mutators engulfed in revelry didn’t pay much attention to this situation; their focus was primarily on Lin Shen and Jiweis.
Without a doubt, despite the presence of nearly invincible geniuses like Ouyang Yudu and Bai Shenfei today, the main characters were Jiweis and Lin Shen. At least for today, they had captured the attention of most people and had successfully shocked the entire homeworld.
“This Tian is pretty good, truly worthy of someone from Tiancheng,” a Mutator using a camera to shoot footage of the sky couldn’t help but exclaim in admiration.
“What Tian, with his performance, calling him Brother Tian wouldn’t be too much, right?” a friend beside him said.
“No, no, no, people from Tiancheng aren’t that superficial. I still think Tian sounds good, but the nickname Perpetual Motion doesn’t seem fitting,” the camera-wielding Mutator pondered, then said.
“How about ‘Son of the Sky’?” the friend suggested after some thought.
“Too commonplace,” the Mutator straightaway rejected it.
“What’s wrong with it? I think it’s very apt. Look, he comes from Tiancheng, is called Tian, and possesses such powerful aerial combat abilities, isn’t ‘Son of the Sky’ quite fitting?” the friend argued with a pout.
“Appropriate doesn’t mean it’s good. I think he deserves a better nickname.” The Mutator, touching the somewhat thinning hair on his head, thought for a long while, then his eyes lit up, and he slapped his thigh exclaiming, “I’ve got it… Flash Spirit… How about ‘Flash Spirit Tian’…”
“I think even Perpetual Motion is better than that,” the friend glanced at him with disdain: “Adding this Tian, how many options do we have now?”
“Wan Nianbei, Ximen Swordsman, Ouyang Yudu, Wei Wufu, plus Tian, that makes five,” the Mutator took out a little notebook, flipped through it and said.
“Only five?” the friend seemed somewhat speechless.
“The larger environment of the homeworld is too poor; finding even these five was difficult,” the Mutator sighed.
“What about Bai Shenfei?” the friend pondered then asked.
“Still falls a bit short, only a maybe. If we really can’t find anyone else, she could make up the numbers,” the Mutator considered then said.
“Even with your accomplishments, that’s not enough, and both Wei Wufu and Tian are from Tiancheng, will the Wei Family agree to let you take them? I doubt it. You better keep looking, I’m heading back,” the friend said, raising his left hand, twisting the dial on his wrist, and disappeared with a warping of his figure.
