In the Dong family.

Dong Feixue walked near from the end of the corridor, followed by her maid. Her mother, Mrs. Dong, saw that, put down the thing in her hand and called her. She took Dong Feixue’s hand and let her sit down.

She asked, “Feixue, do you hear about Princess Lingyue His Majesty just made?”

Dong Feixue glanced at the flowers and plants in the yard and answered, “Yes. I heard something about it.”

“You must grasp this opportunity.” Mrs. Dong explained, “I hear His Majesty cares a lot for Princess Lingyue. He even awarded her with a mansion in the best area of the capital. If we can get on well with her, it’ll bring benefits to your father.”

“I see, Mother. Don’t worry.” replied Dong Feixue, with a profound look.

Mrs. Dong patted on her hand with a smile and said, “Feixue, you’re a clever girl. All noble girls in town want to make friends with you. I believe Prince Lingyue thinks the same way.”

The next morning, Dong Feixue, with some of her maids, went to visit Princess Lingyue. Together, she brought the gifts she had prepared.

When the cart whizzed around the corner, Dong Feixue saw someone in white standing in front of Princess Lingyue’s mansion through the window. “I come because I just knew Princess Lingyue moved in ahead of time!” Dong Feixue thought, “Why can someone else come before me?”

She really wondered who could be so well-informed!

Just as she was thinking, there came the voice of her maid, “Miss Feixue, here we are.”

“Okay.” Dong Feixue replied. She then got off the cart, with the help of her maid. She was slim and elegant. She really looked delicate, which made people care for her.

As soon as she saw who was exactly standing in front of the main door, she gave a vicious look! But the next second, she put on a smile again. Followed by her maid, she walked up and made a low curtsey. “It’s been a while. What a surprise to see you here, my dear sister!”

Dong Ling gave a wee smile. Well, to her, it was not a surprise to meet Dong Feixue here. The public only knew that there was a new princess named Lingyue. But her real name or identity wasn’t exposed at all. As far as she knew the Dong family, Mrs. Dong wouldn’t let go of such a good chance.

Therefore, she knew Dong Feixue would come someday.

However, she wouldn’t let anything turn out as they wished.

“Ling, what are you doing here?” asked Dong Feixue.

Dong Xing didn’t look at her at all. Instead, she looked up at the sky and replied casually, “I was just passing by. I was tired and I just stopped to have a rest.”

“Ling, do you know where you’re staying?” Dong Feixue asked, “How dare you stay here! Don’t fear you might get punished by the master of this mansion?”

Dong Feixue asked, but in fact, she firmly believed that Dong Ling knew this was Princess Lingyue’s mansion and she came with the same purpose. Naturally, disaffection broke out. Dong Feixue said, “If Princess Lingyue blames you, I don’t know how to intercede for you.”

“Don’t bother.” Dong Ling taunted, “I’m just taking a rest for a few minutes. There won’t be any trouble! But you’re making too much noise. I’m afraid you’re the one who disturbs.”

Deliberately, she emphasized the word “noise”, which totally annoyed Dong Feixue!

“Damn it!” Dong Feixue thought to herself, “The bitch must be hinting that I’m too impolite! If anyone from Princess Lingyue’s mansion hears that, they may think badly of me!”

So, she yelled, “Shut up! That’s a pack of lies! I was just chatting with you. When did I make a noise?”

Since no one was around, Dong Feixue no longer pretended to be weak. She twisted her handkerchief inside her sleeve. How she wished she would take the handkerchief as Dong Ling and rip it!

Dong Ling rolled her eyes and shrugged her shoulders. She said, “Look! I’m just standing here and doing nothing. But some dirty thing come and argue with me. What can I do then? Sorry, I don’t know!”

Dong Feixue could no longer hold back her anger. She pushed away her maid and walked up! She rolled up her sleeve, reaching out to punch Dong Ling. Meanwhile, she shouted, “How dare you say I’m some dirty thing!”

“Well, it’s great to be clever. And I hope you can be clever someday.” replied Dong Ling. She grasped Dong Feixue’s hand effortlessly. Seeing the anger and exasperated look on Dong Feixue’s face, Dong Ling chuckled, “I didn’t say your name. Okay? Why did you admit yourself to be the dirty thing?”

You know what? Dong Ling was good at martial arts. Without doubt, she was stronger than ordinary girls, including Dong Feixue. Dong Feixue had suffered quite a few setbacks, but she still couldn’t remember. What a silly girl!

Soon, she felt a sharp pain on her wrist and immediately she looked pale. Regardless of her elegant image, she yelled to her maid, “What are you dazing at? Come and catch her! I will teach her a lesson! She’s too rude to me. I’m the legitimate daughter!”

The maid behind Dong Feixue rushed up, to grasp Dong Ling’s hand. The latter leaned to dodge and pulled Dong Feixue in front of her. Even before the maid realized what had happened, she slapped Dong Feixue directly.

“Bang!” That was a resounding slap. Soon, a handprint appeared on Dong Feixue’s face.

Dong Ling clicked her tongue in wonder, “Wow, that was hard. Look at your beautiful face. It looks so ugly with the handprint on only one side of your face.”

She continued, “Well, you know. I’m an obsessive. I don’t like anything that doesn’t align. Come on. Let me help you.”

As she spoke, she let go of Dong Feixue and raised her hand. With impressive speed, she slapped Dong Feixue on the other side of her face.

Dong Feixue and her maid got dumb! Dong Feixue didn’t regain consciousness until she felt the burning pain on her face. She yelled with anger, “How dare you slap me!”

Just as she was going fight back, there came a loud reproach from behind Dong Ling, “Who dares to make such a noise in front of Princess Lingyue’s mansion!”

Dong Feixue trembled with fear.

The front door of Princess Lingyue’s mansion was slowly opened. Some guards walked out of it. Dong Feixue was going to complain to them so that they might punish Dong Ling for making the noise.

Unexpectedly, the head of the guards saw Dong Ling. His eyes lit up. He then walked to Dong Ling respectfully, bowed and greeted loudly, “Your Highness. Welcome back.”

Dong Feixue stared with bulging eyes! She couldn’t believe what she just heard! She fixed her eyes on Dong Ling!
“The bitch!” She thought to herself, “She’s Princess Lingyue?”

Dong Ling. Dong Ling. Princess Lingyue…

Oh, yeah, the same Ling!

But why?! Why could Dong Ling be a princess? How did she merit her grace to win the appreciation from His Majesty!

Dong Feixue totally lost her head. All she could see was Dong Ling’s face. She didn’t come to herself until she felt the pain on her knee and knelt down uncontrollably. Looking back at the guard with a broadsword, she finally, for the first time, realized that Dong Ling was no longer a girl she could mess up with.

She got scared at once and begged, “Your Highness. Please spare me!”

Dong Ling looked down at her as if she were something disgusting and said, “You’re my sister. I won’t blame you. But if others know what happened today, they might speak ill of you. Mm, why don’t you kneel in front of my mansion and reflect on yourself? Hope you won’t leave before the sun sets.”

She walker nearer to Dong Feixue and continued in a low voice, “Otherwise, I’m not sure if my guard will punish you for your great disrespect!”
