Chapter 32: Save the Power
“Kneel down!”
Those two words came out of Lin Yun’s mouth lightly, but they were like a giant tock hitting on Ma Kui’s chest.
Kneel or not kneel?
It was a hard decision for Ma Kui to make.
A man only kneeled to his parents and masters. This was a huge humiliation.
But if not, it meant he would eat his words in front of everyone.
The only hope was that Lin Yun was kind enough to forgive him.
But now Lin Yun even didn’t look at him and asked him to keep his words directly.
Riding on a wall, Ma Kui felt frustrated.
Those who had spoken for him now all kept their mouths shut.
But he asked for it, so he could only have himself to blame.
Plop!
Feeling wronged, Ma Kui kneeled on the arena, “Sorry to have offended you, senior brother Lin. I hope you can forgive me and give me a chance.”
Everyone was in uproar and shocked by this scene.
A senior outer disciple kneeled to Lin Yun who had ever been a sword slave and asked for forgiveness.
What if he didn’t do it…
Ma Kui’s aggressive attitude before, Lin Yun took it all. Everything happened for a reason. If he hadn’t been so hard on Lin Yun, he wouldn’t have put himself in such a dilemma.
If he wanted to keep his words like a man, he had to kneel down even if his legs were broken.
Ma Kui looked at Lin Yun carefully, but found that Lin had no plan to let him get up.
He got a little angry and tried to stand up.
Crack!
A cold killing momentum was felt on Lin Yun’s body.
It was the Flower Burying Sword in Lin Yun’s hand, which kept shaking for a moment.
This reminded Ma Kui of that lightning-like prick before.
Ma Kui was terrified, for fearing that Lin Yun would turn around and chop his head off the moment he stood up.
Cold sweat was dripping from his forehead, and his kneeling body was also shaking.
“Don’t make a fool of yourself. Get off the arena now!”
At this time, the judge cried.
Ma Kui felt much relieved on hearing that and immediately got up and jumped off the arena.
Lin Yun turned around and put all those spiritual stones, treasures and the scroll into his Storage Bag.
Then the judge announced that Lin Yun won!
Till now Lin Yun had 13 wins in a row.
According to the rules that anyone who had a winning streak would get extra point, it was no doubt that Lin Yun would advance to the next round.
“Make yourfelt prepared. Don’t put it in mind.”
On seeing Lin Yun’s face remained unchanged, the judge guessed he must feel aweful now, so he tried to comfort him.
Lin won his opponent aboveboard, but was framed to used hidden weapons. They all insisted to search him and even asked him to get lost.
“Thank you.”
Lin Yun responded and then jumped off the arena.
On seeing him coming their way, those outer disciples all made a way for him.
A drama was finally over.
But the mid-year assessment was still on.
Lin Yun wasn’t affected by that incident. He shuttled between the arenas and tried to abserve the opponents from other teams.
In team six, he would definitely qualify for the next round.
Only if he didn’t encounter Zhang Han, he even didn’t have to use his sword.
Now he should consider about those potential opponents in the second round-the knock out stage.
In team six, Lin Yun had a winning streak all the way as a dark horse, catching everyone’s eyes.
But taking a broad view of the whole Qingyun Sect, Lin Yun’s winning streak was not so conspicuous then.
Because the sect elders had already distributed all those top disciples in different teams.
So there were quite a few who also had a winning streak in other teams.
Some even had already got enough points and advanced to the next round ahead of schedule.
Like Wang Fei in team one, his sword was amazingly fast, which could even made a sword shadow. Before his opponent caught an eye of it, the tip of his sword was already against his opponent’s vital part.
Those who were teamed up with him almost all quitted.
He ranked top three among all outer disciples, even higher that Zhou Yun on the list.
But the real dreadful one should be Hu Zifeng, who topped the list.
He didn’t have to compete in the group stage at all. Now he was sitting with those inner disciples to watch the fights.
That was quite reasonable to do so.
Hu Zifeng had achieved the spectacular eighth level of Martial Practice. Rumor had it that two months ago he had challenged some inner disciples and got more wins that losses.
So it was a sure thing that he would become an inner disciple this time.
Lin Yun looked up and saw that Hu Zifeng was meditating with eyes closed, like he had interest of the competitions of this level at all.
And when he drew back his eyes, he accidentally saw Su Ziyao who was sitting on the platform quietly, without saying anything. But still she attracted tremendous attention. All her peers peeped at her now and then.
Even those sect elders admired her. And the way they looked at her was filled with revere.
Like she was the future of their sect.
She had such unique temperament. Even she didn’t say anything, all her peelers, be it men or women, were all outdone.
Everyone would suffer an eclipse before her.
Lin Yun shook his head and then paid his attention on another fight.
It was Zhou Yun, who made him have a desperate feeling two months ago.
Compared with the angry and unconvinced him at that time, Lin Yun became much sensible now. He tried to observe Zhou’s fight, but pity that it wasn’t worth watching at all.
Zhou Yun had already stood out with the seventh level of Martial Practice. Only standing there, without saying a word, he could already scare off his opponents.
Some disciple still wanted to challenge him. But before Zhou’s overwhelming momentum, he could barely move his feet.
“So strong! Judging from his momentum, his cultivation must have improved a lot, maybe quite close to the eighth level.”
Lin Yun frowned. Although Zhou didn’t fight, thought his momentum, Lin could tell he barely stood a chance to defeat him.
“Lin Yun VS Zhang Han!”
While he was meditating, a judge in team six announced his fight with Zhang Han.
Lin Yun touched his nose on hearing that. It was really not his day today.
There were over 200 outer disciples in team six and everyone only needed to have 30 fights. If he was lucky enough, he wouldn’t fight Zhang Han at all.
The point was Lin Yun still kept a winning streak. With two more wins, he could advance ahead of time.
“Lin Yun fights Zhang Han!”
“This is awesome! With the seventh level of martial practice, Zhang Han is recognized as top 1.
“But Lin Yun also has successive wins even without pulling out his sword. He also has the potential.”
“And he used his Flowing Wind Swordplay. So the rumor turns out to be true.”
Those bunch of outer disciples had still clamoured Lin Yun to get lost.
But now on hearing Lin would fight Zhang Han, they were gathering here again, even more than before.
Or maybe in those people’s hearts, the wished that Zhang Han could end Lin Yun’s winning streak.
“What? You wouldn’t use your sword even facing me?”
Zhang Han said that on seeing that Lin Yun was bare-handed.
But his anger wasn’t shown on his face.
His strong cultivation made him quite confident.
Lin Yun ignored him and said to the judge, “I quit.”
“He quitted?”
“Seriously? How could he quit?”
“Is the sword slave joking us? Such a rare chance he could fight Zhang Han and he quitted?”
“Such a coward! He only bullies those with sixth level of Martial Practice or below.”
On hearing the word “quit”, those who wanted to see them fight burst into anger.
“Are you sure?”
“Absolutely sure.”
Said Lin Yun while nodding.
He was crystal clear that to fight Zhang Han who was already at the seventh level, he had to use his Flowing Wind Swordplay of Big Achievement if he wanted to win.
It was not a good thing to show his ace in the hole ahead.
Besides, it was almost a sure thing that he could advance to the next round.
“Lin Yun quit! Allow me announce the winner goes to Zhang Han!”
After the judged announced the result, a smile showed on Zhang Han’s face. He turned to Lin Yun and said, “Right, you knew you would advance to the next round for sure. So this is the best option for you. I kind of appreciate you now. Hahaha!”
In Zhang Hao’s point of view, Lin Yun gave up because he knew he was not his match.
And this undoubtedly showed his power, which made him quite cocky.
He laughed, straightened his chest and walked off the arena.
Lin Yun rolled his eyes in his heart. He was totally speechless about Zhang Han’s arrogance.
